Doing Alice sounds like an awesome idea, was Pamela there?

No. She doesn't come in until a later book, I believe. It's funny because in the beginning of the books, there's a class picture and when Pamela comes along, they stick her in there at the end of a row.

^ Spelling Bee always reminds me of Karen's Prize. It actually corrosponds with that book on page 24 I think it mentions Karen winning all the spelling bees.

I'm probably going to try reading these books if I ever end up with a Grade 1 or 2 class. I think they'd enjoy them. I also feel boys might enjoy this series more than Little Sister.

I started off by reading the Little sister books, and then eventually went to the regular BSC books. I don't think I have read all of the "Kids in Ms. colman's class", but I would like to.

^ For me, being able to read all 12 KIMCC books made the LS mean more and because I received them as a special gift. I not only have gotten to know Karen better and like her character so much more than in the BSC but it's easier to picture her as a real 7 year old as part of an actual class at a great sounding school. One of my very favorite KIMCC books is Natalie's Second Grade Baby when Natalie and her classmates send a teddy bear off on an adventure--people who find the bear take a picture of themselves with it and share about their "bear time." I also overall really enjoyed Ricky's book about meeting his favorite author--I just didn't like Ms. Colman 100% in this book. I didn't think it was kind of her to force Ricky to read his story or else not have any part in the class author day celebration. That brought back some bad early school memories for me and to me reading should always be a positive experience and for a teacher like Ms. Colman who did seem to care for her students I thought that made it worse. It was cool getting to know Karen's "hubby" a little more. I also love how sweet Bobby was with the mouse in Science Day. I will be reading Halloween Parade on Thursday. I wish there had been books narrated by all 18 kids and maybe one or two super specials with all of them.

I also like the idea of each kid having his/her own book as well as Super Specials. Too bad this series didn't take off more.

I have never read this series before although I wish I had. I only have like 8 or 9 LS books from when I was seven years old. Along with the Kids in the Mrs. Coleman's Class, I would like to complete the LS books. The books sounds really cute! I'd love to read a book from Ricky's POV (or even Pamela, Jannie, and Leslie).
