I don't know if we'll see Jessi, though - Raina did a thing over Christmas where she bought and signed copies of The Truth About Stacey, and we could buy them off her and she'd personalise it and draw us a little picture. I asked her to draw a character that we wouldn't be seeing (and I listed Mal, Jessi, Logan, Shannon and Abby, in order of preference), and she drew Jessi. So I guess if the four-book contract doesn't get extended, we won't be seeing Jessi.

I have both graphic novels and I love them! I've been working on coloring in Kristy's Great Idea for about a month now. I have about half the book colored in so far. It's like my own little BSC coloring book.

Are these just condensed versions of the regular books? I have the Truth About Stacey in the graphic version and am not sure if it is the whole book cause I haven't read it in ages.

Are they going to do all the books now as Graphic Novels? Have to admit that I don't like the graphic version of any books. Why did they decide to do them this way, anyway? I guess graphic novels are the new "in" thing and publishers wouldn't ever think of going against a current fad....

I doubt that they'll re-release the series. I don't think the books are timeless enough to interest most kids these days. They're still nostalgic and fun for the millions of us that grew up with them, but things just aren't the same anymore. Fourteen years was a good long run anyway. I think they were trying to revive the franchise with the graphic novels, but I don't know that they're doing too well. Maybe if they changed it completely to like...the Internet Chatroom Club, it might be more relevant today. ;D KThomas86: I call this chat to order! *glare* ClaudiaMonet: opps i spild chips on teh keebored!! KutieTigger: Does this font look pretty? NYCgirlie: OMGz, I just met the cutest boi eva!! Well, his typing is cute neway. I'm in LUV! <3 Earth#1fan: Stace!! That could be anyone! The whole point of this club is to rid the internet of child molesters and e-litterers!

Stupid question, but I've never looked at the graphic novels and wondered what the difference is between them and the regular ones. Do they have all of the text? I know they have pictures but are they more like comic books than like the pics in the super specials? I probably should look next time I'm in a bookstore so I can see for myself but was just wondering.

They seem like comic books. The drawings are definitely better than those in the super specials. I don't think all of the text is included though. I will have to get one of the regular books to compare.

It stays pretty close to the original books...text wise...of course some things are out...but they have some narration and a lot of the dialogue. In The Truth about Staccey they threw in a story that was in Staceys Book about her in Laine...but it didn't seem out of place. It's been awhile since I've read the actual BOOKS but from what I can remember they remained pretty true to what was written originally ....except "rainbows" are in? Is that a hidden message haha
