I don't drive, either, and haven't for almost 6 years. That's because I don't have a car, though, and I DID use my boss's car when I house sat for him and his family a couple of months ago. I didn't actually get my liscence until I was almost 20, though. Topic: This is the first of the graphic novels I've really been excited to read. It sounds so cute!!!

I just finished reading this one last night. A few things, I liked the upgrade from 10 dollars to 50 dollars, that was cool. Sharon didn't look like I pictured her either, but she didn't look horrible. Also I liked seeing all the Pike kids, that was a lot of fun. For some reason also I thought Jenny P looked kind of cute.

from what i've heard it's only in paperback. Boo and bullfrogs. I don't drive either, and I'm 24. Like Stacey's dad, I just never learned, because no one really drives here - too much traffic We just inherited a car, though, so I guess I'll have to learn at some point.

Nice upgrade from $10 to $50 I can't wait to read this! It's one of my favourite Mary Anne books. Probably my favourite along with Mary Anne's Makeover (haha I seem to like the ones where the BSC are all mad at MA ;D).

I just got this finally, and I loved it! I wish we were getting Dawn and the Impossible Three next, but maybe that'll come later. It's not like the timeline is that strict for anything that happens in that book - I really want to see the Barretts!
Jenny was so cute! I was a little disappointed that Mrs. P's outfits weren't more elaborate, though. Loved the Antoinette's Shoe Tree shoe box. Raina is such a BSC canon nerd! I love it! And hey, Dawn actually has really long hair for once! And the Pikes! Mallory looked perfect. Margo was adorable. I never pictured Claire with short hair! Or Nicky with curly hair!

ugggghhh, I really, really want my copy to come in the mail!! The suspense is KILLING me!! This is probably my favorite earlier book that she's going to do...although I would flip my lid if she did impossible three or the ghost at dawn's.

Is she planning on doing another book after Kristy's Big Day? It SHOULD be Impossible Three, darn it! That's an important book! (Plus I really want to see Raina draw her interpretation of the Ham Face! And I'd love to see Pow in comic form!)

Just finished reading this, it was great! Mary Anne is too, too cute in graphic form. Agree with the comment that sometimes Kristy looks sort of blonde; her hair isn't always well shaded in in some frames even though both she and MA have dark brown hair. I loved Mr. and Mrs. Prezzioso, MA and Dawn looking at the yearbooks, the Pike sitting job (I'm not a big fan of the triplets but they are really cute in graphic form, and Mal and Margo are completely adorable!), Claudia smushing the napkin in Stacey's face, Mary Anne knocking into the soda bottle when she's preparing for the party (the depiction is hilarious), and all the big pictures like Mimi's teapot, Mary Anne's ball of yarn, the piece of birthday cake, Richard receiving his scarf, etc.
I didn't really like that Stacey is sitting for Jenny instead of MA when Jenny spills water on her dress, but oh well. Also, I have two chapter twelves...13 is labeled as 12. Did anyone else have that in their copy?

I read this while at Borders this weekend, and thought it was really cute. I DID have a couple of nitpicks, though.
1. Mary Anne went to visit her mother's grave, when she doesn't even find out where it is until Mystery #5. I guess the visit wasp robably included here because there won't BE a graphic novel of that book.
2. Stacey got the first job with Jenny when it was supposed to be Mary Anne. This one I don't get. I don't think it helped the story any to have Stacey there instead of Mary Anne.
