I have to sets of the Postcards books and have never used them. All 30 of them are still attached to the books.

Thanks anzuhana! The previous owner must've liked Dawn. I'd love to send some of my post cards out. Do people even write post cards anymore? What do you write on them? I might look up the post cards the BSC sent in the Super Specials to get some ideas.

I personally don't write post cards since I figure that they don't have enough room to contain everything that I want to write. And if some reason I did, I might write where I got the post card from on it when I mail it to someone.

Postcard messages are supposed to be breezy and non-informative. Who wants the mailman reading your business?

I'm definitely a fan of postcards. My sister and I send them to each other because she lives across the country. She gave me an Edward Hopper book of postcards for my birthday, I love them.

I'm a postcard fan, too. Oldhickory and I have sent each other a few. It's a quicker, but still a little more personal way, than email to say "hi" and keep in touch. I just love getting most any kind of friendly mail so maybe I'm biased!

I love Edward Hopper! I have a poster print of Nighthawks in my living room. I'm also fond of Office in a Small City.

When I was younger, we had a little pen pal club that wrote ridiculous things on postcards to make the mailman laugh. It was pretty funny some of the ones I would get.

Do you remember what some of the funny messages were?

I remember one very vividly b/c it was so dumb. My friend smeared the card with spaghetti sauce and wrote - these are my last words.......then nothing.

I'd rather not write a postcard since it's supposed to be quick. I'd rather write an e-mail. At least then I'd write everything that I want to and not have to worry about anyone that I don't want to reading what I wrote.
