Haha, my Dad (Who was in the army for years) writes in capitals too! Oh, and I dot my i's with hearts... I started years ago, and it just became habit.

My favorite handwriting is definitely Stacey's! ;D Honestly, I don't know how AMM could have possibly been able to write in so many different ways. (Not to mention the fact that I would lack any patience writing all of those entries out so neatly- and how did Stacey have the patience to make those hearts all the time? I gave up trying to do that in seventh grade when, after trying to make the tiny hearts, someone told me it looked like I had messed up and scribbled something out on my paper!) I was just thinking that it would be great to find a website where you can download free computer fonts that look just like the girls' handwriting. Once I even tried to find a font from the internet that was at least close to Stacey's. The closest thing I could find is called "Kaileen"- it has hearts above the i but some of the capital letters are drawn like stick figures. I love it! There's just no way Stacey would draw stick figures for her capitals, though! That would have appeared completely ridiculous. As if making all those hearts isn't time consuming enough already! *edited to say:* Hey, I just discovered that BSC fonts really do exist! I found them on stoneybrookite.org. I'm extremely grateful for this.

As far as the military thing -- yup, my dad was in the Marines and he has always written in all caps. Annd he was on recruiting duty, twice -- but I've never heard it termed as "recruit handwriting", I'll have to ask.
Anyway.
My handwriting is a little like Kristy's, but slightly more grownup, if that makes sense. If I'm printing, it looks like a mix between Dawn's and Shannon's. Mary Anne's handwriting was too perfect, I thought, and Jessi's was just plain annoying. I'd skip reading her journal entries because it made my head hurt. I think it makes sense that Mallory wrote so small -- I've looked back at my past handwriting, and my handwriting was TINY in middle school, gradually getting bigger over the years.

I think AMM had someone that did hte handwriting in the book . I seem to remember it mentioned in the verry back of graduation day.
I liked Shannon's and Kristy's the best probably... they were the "prettiest" in my opinion. My cursive is like Kristy's when I feel like writing neatly, and Mary Anne's when I get lazy (hehe) printing somewhere between dawn and abby's with STacey's s's

Greer -- how do you apply the fonts? I tried opening them in MS word, but I couldn't figure out how to use the fonts.

I never thought about people from the military writing in all caps. Maybe that's why my dad writes in this weird combo of half and half (because he was only in the military for a little while so it only "half" rubbed off on him). ;D My handwriting is really tiny when I'm trying to write neatly. It has gotten a lot sloppier over the years, too. My mom's handwriting is so awful - sometimes illegible to the point where I can't read her notes - so I hope mine doesn't become like that.....

janey, you have to install them. generally you just put them in a special folder already on your computer called "fonts" or "font book." then when you open a program like word they will be available for selection in the font selection thing. www.typotheque.com/fonts/installing_fonts/here's some detailed instructions

I like the neater handwritings best, probably because they're easiest to read. ;D MA's bothers me and so does Jessi's when it is hard to read (don't know if the fonts are ever different but sometimes they seem like it).

Yeah the fonts aren't used in the books aln... They're done by hand. So they do vary in neatness and size and all that. I like that they're not fonts in the books--makes it more realistic

I like Mary Anne's handwriting,because it's looks a LOT (And I mean a LOT) like my handwriting!
I also like Stacey's,because it looks a lot like my handwriting too (When I'm not writing in cursive)

I love both Shannon and Mary Anne's handwritings. They are the bes, and of course they are my most favorite BSC characters.
