^ she did? LOL!!! ;D
For some reason, the BSC are thought of as 80s pop-culture but the majority of the books came out in the 90s.

But what fashions were in the 90s? I can't distinguish between the two...

The early 90s were just as bad as the 80s. I wore leggings and sweaters and big t-shirts until 5th grade (1993). In jr high I basically just wore jeans and "baby tees", but they weren't exactly fashionable.
And Im pretty sure my sister got her hair permed through high school (she graduated in 1997)

Hehe I actually love Tiffany's snark perspective of the books because it reminds me that only a huge fan of the BSC could be so snarkish

I adore the blog, and I've always appreciated the total snarkiness but this week I did find my self getting defensive over Dawn Saves the Trees I was thinking "No! People are going to laugh at this and think the environment isn't important!" and then I was proud about how much like Dawn I probably felt. And then I felt really lame for being proud of that

I absolutely love the blog too, but wow, she was harsh on Dawn Saves the Planet!

I always thought something was unusually weird about Dawn on that cover. That's it right there.
This was one of the books I finally read this past weekend, and I'd forgotten how obnoxious Dawn was. I would've stopped speaking to her long before the other girls stopped sitting there and taking it. I never got why Kristy didn't call her on her crap much sooner.
Also, I agree with her on the thing where the idea of squishing bugs grossed Kristy out so much she couldn't eat. Mary Anne, maybe, but Kristy was the tomboy who made gross comments over the hot lunches at school! (Also, people put black olives on pizza? Gross.)

This week's entry was great, but next week is BSC in the USA! I can't wait! I love when she does SS.

Haha I can't wait to see what she does with the "OMG Mal is a racist!" bit at Jessi's relatives house.

I agree with you dawnomite I actually want to re-read Saves the Planet now because of that blog, because the whole time I was reading the blog I was like oh come on Dawn isn't THAT bad. So now I have to check then again I get overly-defensive when it comes to Dawn because I'm so much like her in many ways, so it kinda bothers me that she's like so hated among many BSC fans!

Lately I've felt the scales have tipped from "snark" to straight out vitriol. I still read though.
