The thought of a sideways ponytail just annoys me. It would be annoying me all day and I would probably look ridiculous in it.

sideways ponytails are really easy to draw though, so i bet that's why hodges uses them. it's hard to make a regular ponytail look like the person is wearing a ponytail from the front.

If she spends so much time running around kids/ being artsy, I think a sideways ponytail would've been easier- less chance of hair in face or a kid grabbing it.

I used to wear my curly brown hair half up and half down and use different color ribbons to match my outfits.

Sideway pony tails are only acceptable now if they are loosely to the side, lol. A poiny tail sticking out the side of your head... Maybe on a five year old? lol

I wore a sideways ponytail when I was a kid. I've seen looser, low ones recently.

We had an 80's theme for my bachelorette party, and I had a mean sideways ponytail going. Man my head hurt at the end of the night!

It was an 80's thing, I wore them from like 88 through 92 and if they were tight enough and high enough to be held in place, they HURT!

Hmmm, can't say I ever really tried a ponytail per se, however I do know that they were an old thing (if you consider the 90's old). Also I noticed that towards the end of its reign people began to see a SP as a sign of being out of fashion. Ah such is the rise and fall of fashion.
As for a man's opinion, I've always had something of a soft spot for normal ponytails. Seemed to be serious yet fun.

I think my brother had the same hairstyle as Hailey Braddock. ;D Did any of you girls out there have a rat tail?!

I remember boys with rat tail's in the early 90's and I'm sure I remember girls older than me with them in the hallways though the memory is so faint cause it had to have been in kindergarten in the 80's
I still don't feel like the 90's were old for some reason....

i wear a sideways ponytail to sleep a lot of the time. if i don't put it up somehow it will be messy from being against my pillow, but i can't put it in a regular ponytail because i wouldn't be able to lay down. but i would NEVER wear a sideways pony in public, unless i'm just having fun. i mean, who could take that seriously?

I'm doing regular subbing and have seen quite a few 7th/8th grade girls wearing sideways ponytails!
