I never got to play BSC with my Barbies. When I got to the age where I first started to read the books, I wanted to play dolls and make it a BSC game, but my sisters had pulled all the heads off my Barbies (To think about it, I did too!)

^ Thats awful!
I don't think I ever played BSC barbies, but I did play barbies! Last year I made Sim BSC, but I think I lost that game... will have to re-do.

I played BSC barbies with stuffed animals. Let's see. I had 2 care-bears for MA & Stacey (orange and yellow), a dragon for Claudia, an actual doll for Kristy, and . . . I forget.

Some of my friends and I would act things out, but with ourselves doing the acting. Of course, Barbie wasn't an option as i didn't have any.

I had the BSC dolls in elementary school, the ones that came with their charges. I had......Claudia (who came with Jenny Prezzioso for some weird reason) and Stacey (who obv. came with Charlotte). I just added them to my barbies, so they became teenager barbies instead of babysitters. Claudia came with a tiny little paint palette and tiny tiny paintbrush (wtf, I lost it amost immediately) and the coolest purple hat. I loved that hat, I can't even explain how much. Stacey came with something, and I don't remember what, and Jenny actually had little white tights, that were really frustrating to get on and off. Maybe Stacey came with books. Wow...this is going to bug me, because I can't remember the accessories. Anyway, those dolls are loooong gone. I could make some serious money if I had never played with them....
(2 minutes later)
OKAY. I'm pretty sure that Stacey came with a pizza. I'm really digging deep here, but I'm almost positive. Yup.

I loved those BSC barbie type dolls and always used them to play BSC with my barbies. That was my favorite thing to play with barbies ;D Also thought Claudia coming with Jenny was very strange. It should have been MA. Who did she come with? I didn't ever find a MA doll.

Oh wow, that was so long ago....14 years ago, I'm guessing because I know I got the dolls as presents for my birthday. I think MA came with Lucy Newton. Ummmmmmm......and I'm drawing a blank on the rest. I wouldn't be surprised if Kristy came with Jackie or something, although logically, she should have been a set with Karen. By the time the 2nd wave of dolls came out (with their cute clothes -- even Mal looked adorable, I remember the ads!), I felt I was too old for them so I never asked for them for presents.

^ Kristy was with Karen from what I remember and Dawn came with Jackie, but I didn't have that one. Jessi was with Becca and Stacey with Char.

^Seems strange for Dawn to be paired with Jackie. I could see her more with Suzie Barrett.

^Yeah, you can imagine how I felt getting the Claudia doll with Jenny -- even I knew something wasn't right! Claudia should have come with Jamie Newton.
Oh, and wouldn't it have been great if there were playsets? Claudia's room, the secret passage, etc. So many possibilities!

^ Oh, you're making me miss playing with them. I made my own "playsets" with all of my barbie stuff. In fact, that's why I chose the accessories/etc I did for them is to play BSC ;D Funny thing was, I didn't read or like the books nearly as much as I do now but just liked playing them with my barbies ;D

I didn't have Barbies at the time, but I used Beanie Boppers to play BSC instead. (You can probably tell that I'm one of the younger members on this board now.) I would cut their hair and style it to make them look like the BSC. I butchered poor Anna's hair. My Kristy doll had bangs, which I did not like, so I chopped them off. She looked absolutely ridiculous.
Did any of you have the actual BSC dolls?

The actual BSC dolls looked sort of cute. I really wanted the Mary Anne one, but I didn't get it. These are Beanie Boppers. The ones that I used when playing BSC were actually called Teenie Beanie Boppers. Random Shy Girl
