I'm leaving for a week long vacation up north to Mackinac Island. I'll probably go through withdrawl from this board while I'm gone Maybe I'll have some BSC-type adventure, though. Don't start too many good discussions without me ;D Have a great week everyone!

Hope you have a great time. If a bus full of kids breaks down, and the local 13-year olds tells you that they can take care of the panicked kids for you, tell them no way.

Well, I'm back and it's funny you should mention a bus breaking down. We didn't break down but did have an interesting experience. After being lost for over an hour on the way, we blew a rear inside tire on our motor home. Fortunately, dad was able to change it without having to call a repairman (or should I be BSC correct and say "repairwoman" ;D) Then on the way home, we blew the inside rear tire on the other side and had to change that before getting stuck in a traffic jam for a while. At least we weren't stranded with a bus load of kids for me to entertain and I actually managed to sleep through the whole ordeal. Other than that, the trip was fun and no big adventures. There was a BSC-type scene in front of Fort Mackinac a little boy about 7 or 8 years old had a lemonade stand and was screaming "Fresh Lemonade! Come and get your refreshing, icy cold treat!" at the top of his lungs. For some reason, I could just picture the Pikes or Karen and crew selling like him. It was kind of funny Now I have to catch up on reading some of these posts with all of the other catching up I have to do. A few days away seems like years...

Glad you had a good time. I always buy lemonade when I pass little kids with a lemonade stand. Somebody has to make their day, right?

^ I used to sell lemonade with my friends when I was little. Many times I would secretly dump like a ton of sugar into our pitcher, and no one would notice. One time this kind couple gave us 5 dollars for a 25 cent cup. After he bought it, I saw him drive down a little ways and throw out the cup. (Eh, I feel bad now.)

I used to have lemonade and brownie sales during our annual garage sale/clean out event. People were usually nice and would buy a cup or two. The big business always came though when my dad sent all of the guys he worked with to our house on their lunch break. I managed to make pretty good $ from them (especially since they would always give me a little extra and they still remember those brownies when they see me now - lots of chocolate frosting was my favorite way to make them. Claud would have been in heaven!

My little brother and sister sell lemonade for 5 cents each but people just give them bills, so they end up with like 50 dollars after working for half hour.
