Seriously. In fan fiction, Logan is like the Kevin Federline of Stoneybrook.

^ I guess it makes sense- he's the only one of the guys of Stoneybrook who interacts with all the girls a lot. Although I could see Pete Black being another Don Juan.

I noticed a reference to MA/Cary that might be an attempt to "set the stage" for a possible romance between them. In Kristy and the Cat Burglar, she worries (I think it says something about her gently touching his forehead or something like that???) about him hurting himself after they get away from the thief. Of course, this could just be MA and how she is concerned about everyone but after reading this thread, I couldn't help but wonder....

You know, I thought the exact same thing about MA/Cary in 'Kristy and the Cat Burglar'. I thought they should have explored that pairing, getting MA away from Logan once and for all.

There's a lot of ma/cary stuff in ff. I've actually always liked cary, and I think he and ma would complement each other well.

I haven't read either those books, yet for some reason, I have always liked Cary/MA. I even put them together (as ex's) in my only BSC fanfic. Strange huh?

I am convinced now that I have read FF, greer's reasoning (on here and on her blog), and participate in the new RPG as Mary Anne that Cary and Mary Anne have potential. I think they would have been adorable together. I didn't really like Cary at first, but now that I have read more books with him in it, I think he would be sweet with Mary Anne. He does appear to like her, interrupting Kristy to ask Mary Anne to be his partner, helping her get back at Cokie, etc. He also appears to know what he is doing-pairing Kristy with Alan for mini-golf to show Kristy that Alan wasn't going to stoop to her level.

Cary is written as a minor bad boy. Think Bart Simpson: wreacks havoc around, but comes out unscathed and smiling, and everyone laughs at his misdeeds. MA could fall for him because he's SO diffrenet then Logan.

I don't really see him as a classic bad boy. maybe when he's first introduced, before the girls know his personality. I don't see Cary Retlin as being particularly well-liked and people smiling/laughing at his misdeeds. People seem to be more scared of him.

For some reason, I think Cary's going to end up sort of like Logan Echolls (from Veronica Mars) - charming and witty, but also a wiseass at times. People will either really like him or really hate him. In the fanfic I'm (forever) writing, I unintentionally drew Logan Echolls as my inspiration for high school aged Cary. I'm not 100% sold on the MA/Cary romance. I've seen moments, but I think he would be a bit much for her. I prefer him with Kristy, since I love seeing them interact. But that's just me.

I love Cary, and I suppose I ship Kristy/Cary as much as I ship any pairing at all in BSC.
It's hard for me to really get behind any one particular pairing in this fandom because there are so many characters in the BSC-verse, and they're all young enough that there are so many directions that their personalities and relationships could take in the future. I know that a sense of possibility is what draws people to a lot of different fandoms, but I really feel that in BSC, the possibilities are almost infinite. I mean plot-wise in general, not just when it comes to shipping.
Wow. I am a dork.

Mary Anne/Cary is my favourite pairing! At the end of the FF series, when Mary Anne is really coming out of her shell after all the stuff that happened with Logan and Cokie, I can see her and Cary getting together. Has anyone written or come across any good MA/Cary fics? I've never really seen any

^There is Mary Anne/Cary at the Stoneybrook_rpg. community.livejournal.com/stoneybrook_rpg/It's not the same as fanfiction, but if you went to their tags, it is pretty cute stuff. Yes...shamelessly promoting both the RPG and MA (I play her there).
