Wow what a burst of bright magenta color Lol to the tagline, that is funny. It's strange not seeing all of the BSC on this cover but I also haven't read this book in a very long time. All the girls look older than their characters. To me Stacey looks at least twice her real age, maybe more and she doesn't look like Stacey. I do like the idea of Abby's green pants and pinkish/red/orange top? I'd prefer a greener green...I just mean the colors like Autumny to me and since Autumn is coming in a few weeks... I just realized Mal's shirt has the same colors as Abby's outfit. Kristy looks posed for her picture and Jessi, her green matches, too? Trying to stay on a positive track

I think this cover is of the rare covers where all the girls look nice. Kristy seems to have a side ponytail or maybe it's just the way it's drawn that makes it look that way. The side ponytail reminds me of Claudia's side ponytail in Claudia and the Clue in the Photograph.

They all look good on this cover, except Stacey. She looks older than she was supposed to be. Mal looks good on this cover.

I was going to ask if that was Stacey or Maureen. Her hair is so short. Between the t-shirt and the Liberty crown on the NY,NY cover Kristy must be the ultimate tourist wherever she goes. Abby's pants look comfy. Mallory's denim overall dress does not.

^Mal is wearing a dress? It does sort of look that way, strange! I don't know about the crown but since I love Disney Land related souvenirs and hope to get a T or sweatshirt when I go in December I can understand Kristy wanting a touristy shirt in this one. That said, I never did get why all the girls (probably) spent a lot of money on Hard Rock Café T's in NY, NY. Although, since that was a memorable experience for them, why not?

There was a time when Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts were trendy like No Fear or HyperColor shirts. I believe NY, NY was around that time, so I suppose it was an attempt to be current. (Those shirts are one of the reasons why I like that cover so much.)

^ We have had many a hyper-color discussion. I'm still sorry you weren't able to find yours, Sparklymouse. Those were cool shirts. Hard Rock café, I probably have been to but honestly don't remember. I will sometimes go to Johnny Rockets though because they let me get grilled cheese on the kids menu and it does make me think of a more big city Rosebud Café. I would love to visit the Rosebud for ice cream and most of all because it is in Stoneybrook. ETA: Back on a little more topic, does anyone else find the red title on the magenta background hard to read? I just realized Jessi's back- pack may have a "Dance NY" label on it.

Yes, the red on magenta is horrible! Mal--I think she looks cute, the outfit is like something Claud might wear. I can't tell if it's overalls or a dress... Jessi--also looks nice, but it looks like her shirt and Abby's pants belong together. Kind of lazy that they are the exact same color, the trim on Mal's shirt matches, too. Stacey--she cuts her hair short later in the series, see the covers of Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend, Stacey's Movie, Stacey and the Stolen Hearts. I think it makes her look super old. Abby--I think she looks great on this cover, aside from the socks with sandals lol Kristy--for some reason her sort-of-side ponytail really bugs me. Fancy little cameras. I guess no one brought disposables

Abby's outfit looks kind of Katherine Hepburnish, except for the terrible socks-with-sandals.

I have worn lighter socks with sandals because I do burn semi easily. It can also be a matter of comfort. Around here, a lot of people, and all year long wear flip flops as footwear (no socks) and I've never understood how that would work for too long.
Here's a question: Where do you think the girls are posed in front of? The actual Queen's palace?

I'm thinking it's Buckingham Palace.

I never read this book before. Look at the guard. His face is priceless. Just standing here, doing my job. These kids are taking picture of me. How does my hat look? I always wanted to read this special BSC book.
