I've never read this book but I like the cover. The baby is cute and sweet. I'm a sucker for babies. I can't believe Stacey's wearing a turtleneck shirt! Since when did she take fashion advice from Kristy the queen of turtlenecks and jeans and sneakers?

^ Babies are adorable. Was any of the other babies on the covers besides Ricky and Rose Salem? I didn't even notice Stacy was wearing a turtleneck but she has a blazer instead of a Kristy like sweater.

Well, Emily Michelle could count as a baby? There's EM on Great Search. Also, Marnie Barrett on Impossible Three. And Sari on Welcome to the BSC, Abby. They're toddlers, though, not really technically babies.

I like the cover. Stacey looks like a supermodel and as usual, has no perm, but otherwise, the girls look cute and so does the baby. Doesn't take two babysitters to look under a bed, but you can't blame them for trying! It must be cognitive dissonance because as soon as I scrolled down I thought Kristy, not Stacey, had been the one wearing the turtle neck

New day, new cover I like the reissue of this cover better than the original:

Jessi looks WAY older than 11 and is about the same height as her aunt; not unheard of for an 11 year old to be tall and developed but I would imagine her to be thin and petite for her age (being a dancer) and maybe just slightly taller than Becca. I think her outfit looks realistic for a sixth grader in the early '90s though.

Well, the BSC constantly points out that Jessi has long legs...she's not that thin, though; not overweight of course, just normal. In the original cover, her outfit is awful and too Claudia plus she grew a mullet in there for some reason. In the reissue, her outfit is more sensible yet pretty; she looks good in red. There's her typical bun, too. Becca's pants are way too baggy and big for her though her shirt is cute and in style from back then. (From the reissue, not the original.) I can't help but notice that Squirt's high chair is wooden. That must be uncomfortable if it's real wood.

I can't stand Jessi's white socks in the update. They don't go with her dark outfit. I prefer her double slouch socks that coordinate perfectly with her loud sweater. Becca deserved a fresh outfit on the update, too.

Wow Becca's pants are huge! I really love Jessi's original outfit just for being a throwback to such a different era. Wow! Agree she looks very tall (but maybe her aunt is short) and not like a typical ballerina, body type wise. The face change also looks weird - once you know it's just the head that's updated, the newer issue just doesn't look right! Like her head just doesn't fit. But I like the cover for showing some of Jessi's family members, and they all look cute just look at little Squirt, aww

Becca reminds me of the little sister on Family Matters.

Becca reminds me of the little sister on Family Matters. Are you referring to Judy Winslow? Becca is a lot like her!

I definitely see the resemblance between Becca Ramsey and Judy Winslow (before she vanished into thin air in the third season); speaking of Family Matters, I can draw one parallel to that show and the BSC series that it started off as somewhat realistic in their plots in the first year and then grew increasingly sillier and more outlandish as the years went on.
