^I just realized that because you can't see Mallory's neck it looks like her head is either floating or growing directly out of her left shoulder.
Mary Anne looks like a sweaty sex kitty. I don't know why she's so dirty. She just grabbed Tigger and left the house.

Does anyone else think that Mary Anne is standing awfully close to the scorched remains? I have always liked the photo of her except her left arm looks gigantic - like bodybuilder arm but average rest-of-the-body.

Why would she stand by the scorched remains? Her shirt is dirty. But, her face isn't dirty. Her hair is too nice. I don't remember this story. I only read it once or twice.

It kind of has the feel of a mystery cover.

She looks good on the cover, although I thought her haircut looked different than what I pictured.

The cover looks like Mary Anne actually did rise from the ashes. Her shirt is covered with chimney soot.

Another thing about the Mallory on Strike cover (haha) I like how the soft yellow colour of the book itself blends in nicely with the scene.

Share your comments on the French cover of #39 Poor Mallory.

...Interesting. I don't speak French, so what is she saying?

I like Mallory's bag/outfit. Very in character. And it seems like they're in downtown Stoneybrook, although I don't think Mal ever goes there in the book.

I didn't know that Stoneybrook was so dirty. Look at all the graffiti on the wall! Looks more like NYC in a way.

I like Mal's bag, too. The scene doesn't look like the weather is all that warm, though. Did this book take place in late spring? I assume so because they were still in school, yet it was warm enough for the kids to go swimming every day.

In the northeast, it doesn't usually get hot enough to go swimming until it's actually summer. But since the Delaneys were so rich, I'm going to assume it was a heated pool, which would extend the swimming period.

^I think I remember that this was a book that made no sense chronologically. Based on the publishing order, I think it should have taken place around November (I believe they don't actually say anything about what time of year it is, other than including swimming scenes). It makes no sense, so I too assume they have a heated pool. That they use in November.
