^ Haha yes and Dawn saying "I bet the babies are crying because they're costumes are so stupid!" Very catty Dawn ;D

I think the costumes were ugly but be a bit tactful about telling her so.... Though I don't think Dawn did say it directly to her, just loud enough so she could overhear.

^ Dawn could be so very catty! I'm picking up on it more now! I picked up so much from these boards that I'd never thought about before ;D

^ Yes, same here. I never thought that Jessi was BLACK!!! before I came on these boards. The Dawn thing sort of bugged me. Yeah, she should've apologized to Mal for the comment she made about the costumes being stupid (which was also funny because it's one of the few examples of them acting like thirteen-year-olds!), but unless I missed something, Dawn wasn't the only one being sort of bitchy that day. I don't see why she owed everyone an apology. But hey, maybe I missed it. I actually really like this one! Today was the first time I've read it, and it amused me greatly. It was awesome reading about their fight (I'm a sucker for BSC drama) and loved reading about them fail at something. For once. I couldn't imagine taking care of all of those babies. I like babies as much as the next person, but the thought of taking care of like 9 of them at once makes me shudder. It's a miracle that the babies were so well-behaved for so long during the parade. I think this is one of my new favourite Kristy books! ;D

I don’t remember about Dawn apologizing but do remember how mean she was to Mallory in this one. I’ve noticed in a lot of books that Dawn can get really snarky and mean. That’s why I like her less now than I did as a kid. Not that they don’t all have their moments. ;D They sat for nine babies? I didn’t remember it was so many. I really need to reread as I like this one and always enjoy reading about the babies – the more the better. ;D Also loved Charlie in this book. He’s such a great big brother.

More than one baby per sitter sounds dangerous...I wonder why the parents would give them the okay for that?

it's stoneybrook. this is a town where it's ok to leave an 11-year-old in charge of a toddler and an eight-year-old for an entire weekend.

^ ;D Agree. I don't know about dangerous (though maybe on the float, which sounds dangerous enough ;D) since it's not much different than having twins with one person to watch them (even one parent ;D)

I can't imagine trying to take care of twins on my own! That's one instance where I would consider hiring a nanny even if i weren't working.

^ ;D Me too. Another reason I don't have kids. The babies are much, much more fun to read about than to actually care for. Another thing I like about the BSC. ;D

^ I agree. I wasn't sure you were talking about on the float. Are all of the babies on it? Which ones are? Does Kristy walk with Andrea or Mrs. P? I need to reread as I love this one anyway. ;D
