I never saw that. Is it kind of like the book?

I just finished this one...so, so sad. I was crying by the end when Mary Anne goes back to her house at night and then Dawn follows her. The night of the fire chapter was scary...

i think i wasn't that scared by this book because a house fire was one of my phobias that i got over.

I just remembered that Dawn was really frightened of fire in her portrait before that actual one at Clover and Daffodil's house.

^ I remember that, too. Sweetvalleygirl, I really like your idea about a Memories book. Much better than this one, I think. ;D

^ Thanks but I already did get it and still don't care for it. To me, it feels like the end. ;D But I can see how someone else might view it differently.

I just read this. I lost everything in a fire about 8 years ago....this was very believable to me.They were spot on. I literally bawled when they went back searching for stuff. We literally had enough to fill a grocery bag. It is a bad feeling to not have any more clothes, underwear, etc. You forget about things you lost sometimes until years later

^ I'm so sorry for you. That must have been awful. I can imagine this book brought back a lot of memories and that you could really relate to MA. Hopefully I will never be able to....

The last part when Mary Anne went to the burnt down house in the night and cried really touched me.

I nearly cried the whole book too! I did like in this book the reminiscing the girls do about babysitting. I thought that was a satisfactory thing to have in a book that was ending a series (Was Friends Forever planned when Fire at MAs was written?). However having MA's house burn down WOW talk about the regular series going out with a bang! I do think that at some stage in a group of friends someone has to deal with a really devastating situation, and the BSCers have been through so much, so why not a fire too? But I was still shocked when I first heard about this book! Seems much too depressing for a BSC book.

Normally, I love Logan's character. But I couldn't stand him in this book.
