^Part of me will always wish Richard and Elizabeth had found love with one another. I also would have liked reading about Maureen and Dee's supposed close friendship.

I agree about Maureen and Dee. It would have been fun to read about them hanging out, and seeing Stace and Mallory stuck together more. I think they make an interesting pair. Also would have loved a story about young Mary Anne and Kristy trying to get their parents together (maybe in something like BSC Remember or whatever). That would have been cute.

oh man, i so wanted richard and elizabeth to get together. when we were kids, my best friend and i tried getting my mom and her dad together because we desperately wanted to be sisters :] it would have been cool to see kristy as MA's stepsister instead of dawn. i think they compliment each other better.

^Aw, sweet. I completely agree, of course. I just "love" Dawn afterall. I would have liked seeing Mary Anne and Kristy growing older (well one year older anyway since they only aged one year) together in a closer fashion. Also then we'd have gotten to read about Mary Anne confiding in Edie. Even though we never got to hear about Richard/Elizabeth by virtue of how close their young daughters were, I'd like to bet their relationship would have been (maybe better is too mean) but more genuine and/or believable than Richard/Sharon. Maybe Maureen could have reconnected with Jean Pierre (or was it Paul) or something for a "long lost love" arc. Or one of the divorced client mothers could have done the same. As for Sharon, I honestly was glad she and Richard were happy (I didn't necessarily get that vibe but whatever) but it seemed like she and Trip made more of a "real" couple. If that makes sense.

I have no idea what Trip Man was supposed to look like, but I pictured their relationship as mostly sexual. I can't picture Richard having sex with anyone ever.

I always pictured Trip as being slightly overweight, tall, and I think The Ghost at Dawn's House even said he had thinning hair. I also imagined him to be nice enough, not necessarily the brightest bulb but an all right guy.

^That description made me imagine a poorly-dressed Stephen Merchant.
ETA: I have no idea why, but in my mental image, the suit is too small, hence the poor dressing.

^ lol
I also think the Trip/Sharon-thing was basically for sex...
Why am I discussing the sexual lives of fictional characters? Because it's fun. ;D

Trip sounds kinda dweeby too. Either Sharon had a nerd fetish or she married a much hotter man than herself the first time around.

I can see where, after dating the kind of dude Jack seems to be, that a woman might find herself thinking, time for the unassuming lawyer who organizes his sock drawer and listens to smooth jazz. Like, Jack always seemed pretty attractive/charismatic... and those are the ones you have to watch out for, even though Sharon herself also tended to be described as pretty. Dating a super hot guy can actually be really, really difficult.

^True, but Sharon dated Richard way before she even met Jack. I always pictured her as being way out of Richard's league, but maybe he was actually more on her level than Jack was.
