Didn't see a thread for this one but I might be missing it. I just read it and really enjoyed it. I was happy to see MA finally standing up for herself. Logan really disturbed me in it. He was super-controlling - reminded me of a spousal abuser. I have liked him a lot more after reading his books but this one made me remember everything I disliked about him. I did think the whole Valentine's dinner was really romantic if it hadn't been under those circumstances and showing more of his "control." I could really relate to MA being cold while ice skating. I am always cold and people just don't get it. Very annoying. I loved the subplot of Andrea's birth. As an only child (and very happy to be one), I felt for Jenny. Yeah, she can be a brat but she is soooo cute. Loved the idea of Mr. P giving Mrs. P a baby shower and thought it was really sweet - maybe it is tacky, like asking for gifts, but I thought it was thoughtful. Wonder if someone else could have given her one, though. The scene with Jenny first holding Andrea was precious. I always love reading about those two because they sound adorable. I would like to climb in the book and hug them because of that I did think the title was misleading. I expected MA and Logan to be at "war", not just her deciding to cool down then to end the relationship. Kind of disappointed about the lack of fights

It's ridiculous that Mary Anne is reuniting with Logan in her next book. Were the ghost writers stumped for new story ideas? He's a bit of an ass in this book, but by the next book, Mary Anne decides he's changed and wants to get back together? Similarly, Stacey quits/is fired from the BSC in Stacey vs. the BSC, and in her next book, she's back. But then again, what would the point of a Stacey-centric book be if she wasn't back in the BSC.
I agree that the subplot with the Jenny and the new baby was cute, esp. yhe part where Jenny and Mary Anne are playing flamingo fight. But, after reading Cecila60's Most Likely to Succeed and BFF, anything with the Prezziosos just doesnt seem cute anymore.

Can't imagine her drinking coffee in the Pikes' kitchen I don't read BFF and fan fic because I prefer picturing the kids young, innocent and cute

I am not a huge fan, of fan fic either. I like picturing them innocent as well. However, I did read BFF and did think it was quite good.

I didn't think Logan was that bad... It just seemed like he was taking MA for granted, which isn't nice, but not too terrible. Yay for Andrea!

I didn't really think Logan was horrible either, at least the last time I reread. He was pushy but MA once again didn't exactly speak up. I think he just didn't really know any better. His dad seems kind of like an overbearing guy and the type who is "king of the castle" so maybe that is where he learned from.

i hate logan so i like this book. he was always so whiny when ma DID stand up for herself, or say that she didn't want to do something. and wouldn't believe her when she said she was cold. that's what is so bad about logan.

^ The cold thing did make me really mad too because I get cold very easily and can relate to people not understanding. I haven't read this one for a while so I will have to reread again and see what I think about Logan. I'm probably biased towards him because I usually like him. Personal preferences I guess ;D My very favorite thing about this book is the subplot. Jenny and Andrea both sound so adorable.

I get cold easily too. That bit was a bit stupid. But I felt MA needed to be a bit more... forceful.

Reading it now, I was more annoyed with him probably because I've had relationship experience now. But, the V-Day dinner didn't bother me, I actually thought it was kind of his way of trying to say, "hey I really like you, don't leave!" but came off wrong.
The other stuff though...calling her while she was baby-sitting, ignoring her needs at the park, that was annoying. But MA also should have stood up for herself more, her problem always was that she let him take over, and he was used to that.

Logan annoys me in that scene in the park. Logan: You can't be THAT cold, Mary Anne. I'M not cold. Oh, okay, Logan. But his intentions were good...he really did want to have fun with Mary Anne, ice-skating, holding hands, and she wanted to go along with it to please him. I don't know if I would have so easily left my fireplace and book

I didn't like him at their dinner when he was all "We've cooled things down. Now it's time to start warming them back up!" Dude, it's been like a week. Chill out.
