^ I guess I didn't mean so much of the honeymoon as a vacation after for the whole family to do something fun together. Agree that parents are people too (though I just don't like to think of it that way sometimes ;D) hehe.Richard and Sharon seems like a good naughty couple!

^^Yeah it was nice that they tried to make sure the families got along well. And I agree that parents are people too, and do need some alone time every now and then. I remember in BSC in the USA, David Michael didn't want to see Elvis and wanted to join Watson and Elizabeth, who said NO WAY. Heh, heh...that RV is going to be shakin'.

Absolutely it would. And I've never been in an RV either, which is why I asked, jokingly

My grandparents have one. They have locks on the doors, and it's very stable. I highly doubt it would start rocking. But they do have the ones that aren't quite as stable that might rock a little.

I think it's funny that we're analyzing exactly how much the RV would rock if Watson and Elizabeth were getting it on inside. I find myself feeling really apathetic about this book and the one before it at this point. I guess there are just other weddings/blended family situations that I'd rather read about in the series.

Oh god..when I read that part in the book I was in tears from laughter at how quickly Watson said no to David Michael. ;D

Do RVs have locks on the doors? Definitely. ;D They're pretty strong locks, too. I actually had a bit of a problem last spring with ours when I couldn't get the key to work and had to try to quietly wake my mom up by beating on the wall to have her let me in at like 1 in the morning without waking up the people parked two feet away. ;D Not sure when BSC in the USA was published or what kind of RV (I prefer the term "motor home" ;D) they had but assume it was pretty large and decent one - not a "cousin Eddie-mobile" ;D I know that ours that we got even in 1994 came with hydraulic jacks that help stabilize it. My friends and I even ran around, danced, and did all kinds of things like that in it (we'd get bored on the days before horse shows ;D) and it barely shook. Of course, all my dad has to do is walk to the bathroom and my mom insists that she feels elephants migrating and that the motion makes her dizzy. ;D Now that I've provided more information and personal stories on RVs than anyone probably cares about..... ;D Sorry, I'm procrastinating today and enjoy thinking about this subject because it makes me think of vacation. ;D

I was reading the snark of this over on livejournal, and it reminded me that I've always disliked how Dawn complains so much about Richard when the vast majority of her sniping has NOTHING to do with her. I fail to see how Richard spends his mornings before she gets up, or how he organizes his own sock drawer, can POSSIBLY impact Dawn's life in anyway, so she's just griping to be griping. Especially when she's mad at Mary Anne so she goes and messes up his sock drawer! How ridiculous and immature.
I've also always thought Dawn was really bratty about the music thing. She could have asked before she turned the radio on, and Mary Anne was polite when she asked her to turn it off (the first time, at least.)
For some reason, I usually find bitchy Mary Anne to be very funny. (And I mean bitchy, not hysterical. "OMG you didn't give me my phone message I want you out of my life!" is hysterical, IMO, although funny for other reasons.) I think it's because she seems so composed about it (she's kind of that way during her fight with Logan in Babysitters Beware, too. I love when she snarks him for pointing out the "Karl Tate, real estate" rhymes, because I would totally do that, too. Even way back in #4, when she writes her "apology" notes to the others.) I also think, in a way, she's cleverer about it than a lot of the other girls--she's being a total brat when she's getting ready for the dance, and she's cool as a cucumber, and saying things that could superficially sound innocent.

I may be in the minority but I think that it was just the author talking and not Dawn as a narrator, trying to give us an idea about how Richard was and having Dawn messing up the drawer to cover it up.

But Dawn's a first person narrator...
