Does anyone else read BSC books that "go" with the time of year it is? For example, I am getting the urge to bust out my copies of "Boy-Crazy Stacey" and "Baby-Sitters Summer Vacation" because the weather's finally nice and warm around here! On the flip side, I like to read Snowbound and other winter books when it's cold.

I read Mallory's Christmas Wish one time around Christmas.

Sometimes I do. When it's summer, I love to read Stacey and the Bad Girls (one of my favorite summer books) and Dawn on the Coast and Poor Mallory (because the Delaney's pool reminds me of summer), yet I also like to read Get Well Soon Mallory in the summer even though it's a Thanksgiving book so basically time of the year doesn't affect which book I'm going to read; whatever book I feel like reading is the one I'll read.

Yeah, I'll read whatever book I feel like at the time. But I do try to read according to seasons and holidays because it's comforting. I wish I had all my "summer" BSC books with me right now!

I like to read the opposite way. I like reading the winter books when I'm sweating in the summer and reading the summer books when I'm freezing my butt off.

I've read "Secret Santa", along with a few of my other Christmas books from when I was a kid ("I Think I Just Saw Santa", "Lucy and Tom's Christmas", a few others), every Christmas Eve since I was about six or seven.

I do both: reading books that are season-appropriate and reading the opposite. When I'm at home I also sometimes choose my BSC books by closing my eyes and grabbing a book.

^I usually choose by season, but sometimes, I'll scan through my books and pick the one that I look at and realize I barely remember what happens in it.
Greer: you don't have long before you get five stars, do you? Just a little over a 1,000 posts -over halfway there!

Well, it will take me a long time to get 1,000 posts. And I don't really pay attention to my post count anyway.

I seem to prefer reading summery books in the summer, but otherwise it doesn't matter. I get a kick out of reading Christmasy books around this time of year, too.

^That's basically like I am.
greer: I just meant that you're closer to 5,000 posts than anyone else I've seen on this website. I probably should've phrased it differently.

When I was a kid my BSC books were in my bookcase, and sometimes when I couldn't decide which one I wanted to read, I'd shut my eyes and wave my hand back and forth in front of them, then stop on one book. ;D
