If the BSC was a box of crayons, what color would each girl be?

Hmm
Kristy- Orange (she's full of energy) Claudia- hard to pick one colour for Claudia, could she be a multi-coloured crayon? Mary Anne- Pink (because she's girly and embarrasses easily) Stacey- Light Blue (because she's so cool) Dawn- Green ( as in: go Green, save the planet) Mal- Not sure perhaps Grey (as she's often ignored) or Red (like her hair) Jessi- Black (seems the obvious one) Abby- Not sure what to pick for her.

Claudia - something bright, like her outfits...yellow, or pink. Mary Anne - a demure blue. Stacey - flashy silver, she wears it a lot. Dawn - yellow, for "Sunshine," or green. Mallory - red, for her hair. Maybe "burnt sienna," wasn't that a reddish-brown? Jessi - I thought of pink, since she's a ballerina.
Not sure about Kristy, Abby, Shannon, and Logan.

Hee. I thought of burnt sienna for Mallory too because I always thought that was the ugliest color ever and never touched that crayon.
Would it be easier to limit it to the ROY G BIV rainbow colors? Kristy would be red because it's a powerful color. Mallory orange because it's the least flattering choice. (I actually like many shades of orange, but straight up orange is very harsh IMO.) Yellow, Jessi? It seems like a very calm and mild color. Green, Dawn Goes Green. Blue was one of Mary Anne's favorite colors. (Navy blue, close enough...) Claudia would get the most unique color with indigo. That leaves Stacey with violet, which is in the purple family, which used to be associated with royalty, which is ultra sophisticated. Ok, I'm stretching a bit with some of these!

^That helps a lot, Sparklymouse. ROY G BIV I have a rainbow picture on my wall that my Dad either made or got me (don't remember which) when I was a baby. It's fabric of some sort. It (happily for me) shows "Violet" as Magenta. (I don't care for purple; just pink). There is no seperate indigo just a dark, navy-possibly grayish blue color.
I'll go out on a limb by picking Claudia for Red. It's a primary color and for Claud could be thought of in terms of "black and white." Claud "will never need school stuff because she's sooo talented in art. Of course, isn't red a jealous color, too?
I agree about "straight up orange" as in an orange with a hint of brown being glaring, in your face. I do like shades of the color itself. I'm going to pick Dawn for this because when she gets in your face, forget it, you want to run!
Mal for Yellow. In its lightest shades it can be easy to overlook but like sunlight is always there. I hold out hope that one day Mal will have her day in the sun.
Green for Kristy because she seems to love being outside but also because I think (when not barrelling through with some new idea or plan of action) she really does (sometimes anyway) stop to smell the roses to speak and appreciates the littler moments in life.
Definitely blue for MA because it can go from cold and icy to bright and perky in 30 seconds.
Indigo, is the least appealling color to me since I am not a purple person. I know Violet is a "true-er" purple whereas Indigo is more "blue, purple, with even hints of silver or gray." I'll say Stacey because she, too, can shift moods and chosen friends depending on the situation.
I guess that leaves Violet for Jessi. I guess leotards could be violet-ish as they fade? Maybe? My only association with "Violet" is a bad childhood memory of the mother of a daughter with that name. I don't remember the daughter, so not "her fault" but will always remember the mother. In that sense it's sort of like Jessi=black in BSC verse, something in my case memory and beliefs won't let me forget.

Wouldn't that be green since green is the color of envy?

True, I was thinking red as in "seeing red" usually in anger but also could be jealousy or fed up with someone.

Kristy - green, since she likes being outside and is always on the go. Mary Anne - blue, because that's one of her favorite colors. Dawn - yellow because of her nickname. Jessi - pink because she's a ballerina. Mallory - red, because of her hair color. Abby - see Kristy. Claudia - not sure but I'm thinking of a color that just grabs your attention. Stacey - maybe purple.

Claudia-Pink, I like her in that color and purple too these two colors fit her so much. Stacey-Yellow, it goes so well with her pale-skin color. Abby-Blue, I just love this color! Jessi-Green it suits her well with her dark complexion along with light-blue. Dawn-Purple just love this color on her. Kristy-Yellow, in honor of her very first book.

Kristy - blue, because it's the ideal tomboy color Mary Anne - pale yellow, because it's soft but bright, and rather delicate Claudia - silver, because it's flashy Stacey - black, because it's sophisticated and never goes out of style Dawn - go green Mallory - orange, because she's a carrot top Jessi - pink, like anzuhuana said, because she's a ballerina Abby - gold, because she loved Elvis (who wore gold suits and had a plenty gold records

kristy is black, no nonsense and serious. MA is navy (one of her favorites) because it's classic and simple. stacey is silver. fancy and sophisticated. claudia is orange because it's bright and fun. dawn has to be yellow. abby is the maroon-y color of her dress on her first cover. i always associate that color with her. mallory would be grey, because it's the color of wisdom, and also because it isn't very interesting. i'm not sure about jessi. she would need a really graceful, serene color. maybe jade.

Jessi - pink, like anzuhuana said, because she's a ballerina The Black Swan? I like your other choices. Well, pink is the typical ballet color (slippers, leotards, tutus, etc), and it would have been too obvious to make her black, lol. oldhickory, I like that maroon color for Abby as well. I liked that dress a lot.

I'm such a nerd, but I found this and I'm going to do it too
Kristy-I say Red, a bright Red-Full of Energy, often viscous and sporty Mary Anne-A sky Blue-something calm and soothing, but like tears Stacey-I say Silver, she does wear it often, its sleek and sophisticated. Claudia-A Neon Orange color, fun, bright, flashy Mallory-A red toned Brown, an Auburn color. I think of books with her, and her hair Jessi-A pale Pink for Ballet Dawn-A Kelly Green, earthy and hippie like Abby-Probably a dark Blue, sporty and relaxed
