Which BSC character became the biggest caricature as the series went on? Or any characteristic for that matter, like Claudia's spelling.

I actually thought about this the other day while posting my thoughts about Stacey and TSB compared to her character in the series. I think we got to know the least about Mary Anne. I say that based on TSB where she not only had heart, cared about Kristy, but seemed to be a "real" pre-teen, possibly shyer than most but still relate-able. Once Dawn came in #4, MA=D's puppet/follower and I don't feel she ever grew.
The most annoying caricature description for me had to be "Kristy is immature because she doesn't care about make-up or clothes." That often hinted at her not being too bright (like she needed to get with the program already).

I think MA grew in FF.

I pick Kristy because she really did amuse me as the books went on. She was probably exhausting to be around because she never chilled out, but she was very endearing to me. I picture silly cartoon music playing in the background whenever she started one of her projects.

Some of them were caricatures in their own right. For example, Kristy was definitely a caricature of "the best babysitter" and Claudia was a caricature of the "bad student but artsy" type. I was going to say that Kristy was the tomboy caricature but then Abby came in with her sports-loving self and kind of blurred that up, haha.
