I know there are Easter and Snow Princess and many Halloween, etc. parades in the LS Series, I enjoy most all of them. The LS Holiday books have become extra special to me. I finally understand also why Afton and others of you enjoy reading the seasonal stories during their respective season. Although, lol lately I’ve been reading all the wintry BSC and LS books to cool off from the heat. Anyway, last night out of the blue, around 9pm for about ten minutes, it sounded like a marching band was right outside my window! Now maybe the Buddy Barrett Marching Band (Don’t Give Up Mallory) had a sudden late night appearance here in LA. Or maybe All the Children was practicing, but it sure was odd. It was also cool because I had been thinking about parades in a completely non BSC way earlier in the day and how they relate to a few family members so that was cool. It also goes to prove Stoneybrook can be connected to most anything!
Back on topic, when are there parades in BSC books? Kristy and the Baby Parade has its famous orange shoe. BSC on Wheels from “Haunted House,” and the Disney parade mentions in “BSC on Board.” Of course, there is the “Elephant Walk” in “Zoo Mystery,” and even the St. Patrick’s Day parade sub-plot in one of my very least favorite BSC books (for the bad personal memories and also because…I prefer my Stoneybrook stories to be light-hearted) “Claudia and the Terrible Truth.” And I always feel badly (in general) for Mal that she missed going to NY for the Thanksgiving Day parade in “Get Well, Soon Mallory.” Are there any others?
