We have "books you can't get through" so why not this Are there any books you could (or did) read over and over and never get tired of? For me, it was: Baby-sitters' Haunted House -- the perfect packed ghost story Mary Anne vs. Logan -- the subject matter seemed soo mature Stacey and the Bad Girls -- great summer read

Kristy's Great Idea. The first book is always the best. Little Miss Stoneybrook...and Dawn. Too funny, the competition between the babysitters is realistic age-wise and hilarious, and Claire and Margo are so cute and funny. Plus, it's when Jeff leaves, which is sad because I really did like him a lot, and his and Dawn's brother-sister relationship. And the title is SO dramatic! Mallory and the Mystery Diary. I love old diaries, Mal tutoring Buddy, and the séance scene. Mary Anne Saves the Day. Best BSC fight ever! When Richard loosens up. When Dawn and MA became BFFs. (And Dawn was likeable then.) Kristy's Big Day. I just love how the BSC takes care of 14 kids. And, of course, there's the marriage of Elizabeth and Watson. MA Likes Logan. I'm not that much of a fan of their relationship but it started out so sweet and cute and innocent in the very beginning. Dawn's Wicked Stepsister. The very beginning of the Spier-Schafer family. Dawn's crazy, elaborate hoax to drive MA out of their shared bedroom. Hello, Mallory. I loved seeing Mallory joining the BSC and her struggle for it, the BSC being so ridiculous and silly about the tests, and the introduction of Jessi. Jessi's Secret Language. I love Matt Braddock and the sign language and all. Plus, Jessi was great, and I liked her character in that book than the others. Babysitters on Board, the first Super Special. The Disney World trip is wonderful, and the stories are funny.

And California Girls! It is also funny and action-packed (Stacey's surfing, Mallory's new identity, etc.)

God, so many. Unironically, I mean, not in a snarky way. Mallory and the Trouble with Twins because... i don't even know, I just love the twins' shenanigans and Mal's ear piercing. Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout - I'm still a bit of a procrastinator and I feel sorry for Claud in that entire book. Plus, I just love the entirely unrealistic "seventh grade as a whole new world!" vibe. I suppose I have to include Claudia Kishi, Queen of the Seventh Grade (or whatever it's called), but somehow I can't remember that one at all. Stacey's Emergency - This book never fails to make me hungry, ten years on, and to this day I have a fleeting "Oh, god, diabetes!" moment when I get too thirsty, and have to remind myself that it's actually just hot or I haven't drunk enough water that day or whatever. And I love the hospital scene with Laine bringing all the gifts. It's probably my favourite BSC book. Stacey's Mistake - I was enchanted with the way Stace describes NY (still am, to some degree) and it took me a long time to realise it was just an ordinary city Yeah, I was a strange kid. Lately, Dawn on the Coast. The descriptions of Cali in that are amazing in their lack of realism and it sounds paradisal. Cali Diaries, obviously, but that's not main series and it's not exactly light reading even by normal YA lit standards. Claudia and the New Girl - in retrospect, I feel as sorry for Ashley as Claudia and I feel like her freespiritedness could've been used to develop her into a more nuanced character, because it was her most interesting trait. Ah, well, this is the BSCverse, so we take what we can get. Kristy and the Snobs & Shannon's Story because the Kilbournes are love, as I said on a recent bsc_snark post. And last but not least, The All-New Mallory Pike, because the new characters were really appealing and fairly realistic in that one, even if the subplot was pointless. And hello, a book where we don't get sledgehammered with "Smita is Indian, but that's okay, she could be blue and green and I wouldn't care"? Yes, please!

Kristy's Big Day- Love the whole, complicated thing. Boy Crazy Stacey- Her quick falling in LUV reminds me of my own young crushes. Little Miss Stoneybrook... and Dawn- Tied with Dawn on the Coast as my very favorite BSC book. Dawn on the Coast- I just really identify with Dawn's struggle to determine where she really belongs. Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise- Love the carnival and taking care of a big group of kids. Welcome Back Stacey- My favorite Stacey book. It seems realistic how she handles the divorce. Mary Anne and too Many Boys- Who doesn't love Sea City? Dawn and the Big Sleepover- I love it when a plan comes together. Stacey's Ex-best Friend- Oh the snobbish behavior of Laine! Jessi's Gold Medal- I'm a sporty girl and love all the references to the Olympics. Jessi and the Bad Babysitter- Contains my all time favorite subplot. Zorbs!
I stopped reading around #73 as a kid, so the rest of the books aren't really ones that I've read more than a couple of times. My favorite Super Special is Here Comes the Bridesmaids.
