I like the idea of a thread for each episode. I will probably be up late, would you care if I make the separate threads? Sure! You can make generic threads and go back and edit them with more information if you need to. Cool and thanks! Do you just want like a general description for the first post?

Can we have a seperate thread for each episode? Trying to read over ten pages of this thread would be a nightmare.

It’s up now! I had to go to Netflix on my computer, add it to my watch list, and then it finally showed up on my tv.

I'm going to get started watching after lunch, but before then wanted to add that I'm really happy I have y'all to watch and discuss the show with. Even though I know some others who enjoyed the books when they were younger, I don't think they have quite the same level of excitement and anticipation as we do. Grateful for each of you!

I don't understand the question. My post was about how excited I am for it and to have people who feel the same way to discuss it with? I think she's saying why are they watching the show if they're not excited for it and willing to discuss it. At least that's what i got from the post.

I used to post here all the time but stopped for about a decade. I had to come back for this because I knew the posters here would understand!

Ah, I see. I'm not saying they aren't excited also; but I think it's likely that those of us who have sought out a message board to discuss the books 30+ years later have more excitement than people who read the books as kids, but not since. Still plenty of reasons for them to want to watch the show!

These episodes are so short! I'm already half way through this thing. Right?? I thought they’d be an hour long episodes... I’m actually reading each book before watching the episode so that’ll stretch the series out for me more. I haven’t read the books in years...it’ll definitely refresh my memory of the bsc...

And a lot of users wanted the series to be set in the1990s. I'm so happy it's modern!

^ I was mad at first that it wasn’t set in the 90s but I changed my mind after seeing it lol. They handled the updates extremely well imo and there is a perfect balance of appealing to younger and older generations. I thought the Gossip Girl reference in particular was pretty clever.
In my experience though a lot of The Kids (people who were born after the 90s) like 90s nostalgia stuff, so who knows.
