This is 1 of my favorite BSC books of all time. It’s an easy, quick and fun summer read. Sun, sea, romance, drama...it has it all. Even though Stacey is not my favourite BSC member she’s been the protagonist of some pretty good BSC books. Mary Anne is also in this book and I really like her character. I also read in an interview years ago that it was also Hilary Duff’s favorite BSC book. The super special Sea City Here We Come is also a fun sort of sequel. Has anyone else read this book? Does anyone else have anything to say about this book?

Stacey and her boy-dramas are always entertaining - although I think the Pike kids are even more entertaining! I loved the bit about Karen and Andrew, back in Stoneybrook, washing the car with steel wool instead of sponges and Watson being all 'I wanted a purple car and needed an excuse to repaint it anyway...' I also love Stacey's internal dialogue in this one, especially the funny things she thinks every time Scott calls her 'love' and 'cutie' and what a 'hunk' she thinks he is. I also liked how, despite not always carry her weight as a sitter, Stacey is considerate enough to check that Mary Anne is okay if she leaves her alone with Alex to go off with Toby.
