What if they had special promotional books that were written by other famous young adult authors? What would the plot lines be?
R.L. Stine was brought up once. A serial killer would be taking out the SMS football team. Logan would be framed as a suspect.
Lurlene McDaniel. Stacey would have an extended stay in the hospital, where she would fall in luv with a terminally ill cancer boy. A charge or two would pop up with appendicitis or a broken arm.
Caroline B. Cooney. Dawn would find out that Franklin DeWitt's kids were really his step-children that he took on the run rather than give them to their abusive bio dad after their mom died. (Was their mom dead?)
Stephanie Meyer. Cary Retlin would be a moody vampire who wanted Mary Anne to transition and be with him eternally.
What else could happen?

Lol, I came here to add more, but I had already both authors. I am struggling to think of distinctive authors for some reason.
I'd like to change my Jim Davis/Garfield one. Mallory (the sturdy ginger) would boycott all Monday meetings and develop a constant craving for lasagna.
Arnold Lobel (Frog and Toad) It would focus on the budding friendship of Watson and Richard. (I don't know how old Frog and Toad were, but they seemed like two old men.)
