Do you think that Watson would have been different if Patrick had been an involved dad that the kids saw regularly?

Judging how he interacts with Lisa, maybe a little uptight. Especially with the custody arrangements, he wouldn’t even let Karen and Andrew spend Mother’s Day with their actual mother (just the day before) and insist on them bonding with Elizabeth. I could maybe see him bonding more with David Michael but I don’t think Sam and Charlie would be around that much. The Thomas kids would be living at his house, right?

Watson is usually pretty easygoing. He's an experienced co-parent already so if Patrick were still around, I think he'd had no trouble working with him. He loves Elizabeth and her kids and rightfully views Patrick as the person who hurt them all. He wouldn't have all that anger if Patrick didn't leave.

I feel like he'd have to tone down his extravagance a little. Family vacations wouldn't include the whole neighborhood. Maybe they would, but I feel like he went overboard trying to make their lives great.
