My mother's dress is around, and I did try it on when I was engaged but it was not my style at all. Very nice, not one of the dreadful things to be found on brides of 1974, but just not what I wanted. (Now, what their guests wore is another matter....)

I loved this book, especially the birthday party, valentine making, wedding planning and valentine breakfast and class party descriptions, I wanted that lootbag and to eat that cake and the red hots. I wished my class valentine parties were exciting, I made a valentine card bag just like Karen's design in the book after that, with the pink and red hearts, and yellow and orange flowers
Also, picky yicky sticky ricky!!!

I loved this book so much! All the food they ate sounded so delicious. I loved Pamela's party, and used to wish I was there. The b-day cake, valentine breakfast, and class party were some of my favorites too.

I loved their family party at Watson's house.

Karen's in Love is one of my favorites. I liked Pamela's party and the Valentine's Day party. The cupcakes, punch, and red hots sounded good!

Pamela and Karen being such enemies, I'm sort of surprised that Karen elected to go to the party.

I think Lisa made her go to the party, just like Pamela's mom made her invite the whole class. I don't like when parents try to force friendships but they probably didn't understand the seriousness of being BEST ENEMIES.

I'm surpirse myself. I know the parents made the classmates go, but still. If they knew the kids hated Pamela, why would they force them to go? My parents would have NEVER made me go to a classmates party etc. if I hated that person.

If I were Karen, I would've gone just for the cupcakes.

Pamela's party sounded like a lot of fun to me. Face-painting, good food, goody bags...I'm there.

How odd is it that Pamela had a circus party, and Karen had a circus party (an actual trip to the circus) a few months/books earlier?

The goody bags were definitely well done. But how big must the Hardings' dining room have been to have seated all those kids?

I always pictured the Hardings as being quite rich due to the way Pamela's wardrobe was described.
