Well, there are some individual posts about Pike kids, but as a whole, what do you think of them? I know a lot of people find them to be annoying, but I have never been bothered by them. Which ones do you like, which ones don't you like? I think they're all OK, except the bratty triplets. Nicky is a bit annoying, but it's hard to dislike him when you feel sorry for him! I love Claire, I think she's so cute!! Margo's cute, too, I like her relationship with Claire, she's usually so nice to her. Vanessa is a bit much, but whatever. my Overall opinions on the Pike Kids- Mallory- Mallory is OK. She Can be a little annoying and whiny, but she's not that bad. Bryon- Feel a little sympathetic to him, Adam and Jordon Leave him out sometimes. don't like his name "Byron" So I call Him "Bryon" ;D Adam- Eh, He is a bit annoying to me for some reason. Not sure why though. Jordon- To me He seems alot like Adam. Not a real big Difference in Opinion about him as my opinion to Adam. Vanessa- I don't Mind her, But her Rhyming Gets annoying after a while though. Nicky- I feel bad for him too- I think the triplets are kind of Cold to him, but at times he Can be annoying. Margo- She's Cute I thought it was Funny In the LS books how Karen kind of Met her Match with Margo! Claire- My Favorite Pike, She's really cute, "NOFE AIR" Can Get a tad repetitive but Other than that I really like her.

I like the Pike kids. I feel bad for Nicky since he gets picked on by the triplets. And I feel bad for Margo since she has car sickness.

The guy gets picked on his older brothers all his life then gets cut on AGT. Poor Nicky.

Except for the fire and chainsaw, that looks strangely like something one of the Pikes would come up with for a BSC client talent show.

My overall opinion of the Pike Kids is: Mallory: The only reason I like her is because she writes stories. I find her to be annoying sometimes.
Bryon- I ADORE Byron. He is one of my favourite characters EVER!!! I totally love him, I think he’s so sweet and quiet. He’s always trying to fit in with his brothers, but it’s so obvious that he’s different and unique. I thought the book where you find out he’s scared of the water was sweet. I think that when he gets older, he would be an induvidaul, emo or something, and gay…I know that some people don’t like him being gay, but I just…really adore the idea.
Adam- I don’t overly like him BUT I think that he’s nicer than Jordan, and a TINY bit like Byron.
Jordon- I think that Adam and Jordan are a little like clones. Jordan seems more outspoken and dominant though, kinda bully-like
Vanessa- Her rhyming is annoying, but I like that she wants to be a poet and is so committed.
Nicky- I feel bad for him because he just wants to be “in” with the triplets, and he never will be. I think that he’s ok, but…eh…
Margo- Is ok. For me, there is never much character development. I’m not too sure how I feel about her.
Claire- is cute. She can irritate me a lot, but she is a small child, so that’s ok. I tend to still quote her "silly-billy-goo-goo" line sometimes *blush*

I just made myself a sandwich and it reminded me of something. I'm trying to save money on my grocery bill so I've been buying staple things, like bread, condiments, veggies, tuna, etc. to make sandwiches so that I have something cheap and long-lasting. But I remembered how, in one book, it was said that Mrs. Pike gives the kids lunch money everyday because it's easier than figuring out seven meals each morning. Wouldn't that be awfully expensive? No wonder why they became poor If you think about it, let's say a full lunch for each kid costs $2.00 - that would be $14.00 per day (and approx. $70 per week and $280 a month). Just on lunches! Wouldn't it be cheaper to turn out regular old sandwiches and fruit like bananas or apples?

I have to say, I'm real tired of the pikes on this reread. They are just exhausting and obnoxious.

I was in elementary school in the late 80s and our lunch was $.95 a day. ($152 for the month for 8 kids) Plus this is BSC land where Stacey could get a popcorn and soda at the movie theater for less than a dollar.

The Pikes gross me out. I liked them when I was a kid, because I had a major obsession with large families, but reading through the books now? They're just gross.
