I never really thought about it, but I would have liked more interaction with their families as well. I was always close to mine growing up, so it would have been nice to read about it as well.

The families must have at least felt comfortable with Watson and Elizabeth, sending their kids off on tons of vacations with them and all. ;D

I think they didn't include extra families so the chapter two's could be shorter Just jokes.

I liked it in Claudia’s Book how the Thomases and Spiers gave Claud a birthday party when no one showed up to hers. I wish the books would have mentioned more about the families doing things like this together when the girls were growing up.

In Baby-Sitters Remember, it says that Elizabeth treated MA like part of the family and took her shopping and did things like that for her – “mom things.” I wonder why this wasn’t mentioned at all in other books, even in MA’s Book. I wish it would have been as I think it would make sense and found it strange that Elizabeth and MA weren’t closer. I also wish they would have been closer in the books. Did they ever even interact except one or two times? I didn’t even see much of a difference in their relationship when MA would come to baby-sit or things like that. I think there should have been. Same thing with Claudia. Of course, I was closer with some of my friends’ parents than others but I can see Elizabeth as one of the parents I would have been close with. She seems like an open, caring person.

^I also agree. I would like to see Elizabeth hugging the girls and such. I always hugged my friends parents, especially the ones who always did "motherly" things for me.

^I did too. I always have had several "second mothers."

^ Me too. I was always "adopting" people at the horse shows who didn't have kids, especially. I'm a very affectionate person so did a lot of hugging and the lack of hugging and that type of thing in the BSC books always bothered me because I couldn't relate. Also, I always called almost everyone (with a few exceptions - I knew who they were ;D) that I knew pretty well by their first names. I know this might be considered rude by some people but I actually prefer it if the person doesn't mind (especially if they tell you to do it) and know my parents hate it when kids call them Mr. and Mrs. With one boy, my mom is like "you've known us for 15 years and been good friends. You're making me feel bad - like you can't remember my name. ;D" So that always kind of bothered me in the books too. Then again, the girls just didn't seem all that close with any of their friends' parents. This was always strange to me....
