I have all the books, because I signed up to some book club mailing list - I got them as they came out in Australia, pretty much. I didn't get Everything Changes or Graduation Day through that, but I bought Everything Changes as soon as I saw it, and I found Graduation Day last year in a second-hand bookshop for $1.50. I like some of the books (my favourites were always Kristy's Big News and Welcome Home, Mary Anne), but a lot of the others I've only read once and barely remember. I hate the Stacey/Claudia breakup, because I've always liked the friendship between those two.

I don't think she is bipolar. She is just grieving for the premature loss of her mom. Before her mom got sick she was always impulsive and outgoing though. I think she is trying to overcompensate for her pain by acting like her old self, but then her grief creeps up on her. THANK you, greer. blossom114, reacting in understandable ways to terrible and stressful life events does not mean you have a diagnosable illness that needs to be medicated. Especially when you're thirteen. *hops off her bipolar soapbox*

They're seriously worth that much? I was still in school when it came out, so I ordered it through a book club. It came with a heart-shaped stress ball thingy that my cousins later destroyed... I always thought it was a weird kind of gift. I mean, stress ball? What relevance does that have with the BSC?
I actually really liked the FF series. I never enjoyed the baby-sitting aspects of the original books that much, so I loved that FF focused more on their friendships, family, etc. (Excluding the Claudia/Stacey fight. Wow, that was boring.) My one dislike was that it was back to the original four... That was sad. I liked the big group.

Hmm, that works! Wish I had it now.
It's nice to know there are people who like FF. I always feel kinda ashamed to like them when I see so many people hate them.
Did you have a favourite FF book?

I just read a FF book and didn't care for it at all. Just not the same feel as the BSC. I think I was biased against it because of this, though, and probably didn't give it a fair shot.... Still, the characters and everything just felt totally different and I really missed Mal and Jessi. I didn't care for Stacey or Claudia, either. The one I read was Stacey vs. Claudia. Is this one at all representative of the whole series? I think I also remember reading Welcome Home MA and Stacey and the Boyfriend Problem (or whatever one when all the boys come to visit), too, and thought the same thing. Maybe I should give some other ones a try???
