^That's probably my favorite, too, although I also liked "Mary Anne's Revenge."

I really want to read the Graduation one when they finally graduate the eighth grade. I've read most of the friends forever books. They were the first ones I actually started reading again when I remembered the BSC. I didn't know Mary-Anne's house had burnt down at that point. I've read that book now though, because I was always curious about it.

Some of the FF books are okay, but I always thought it was ironic that none of the babysitters turned 14 until they graduated eighth grade -even though most of them had a birthday during the school year.

In Kristy Power!, Kristy and Cary Retlin have to write each other's biographies. Kristy finds out a "secret" about Cary while she is at his house interviewing his family. There's more, of course, but I don't want to spoil the book for you if you haven't read it.

It's been a loooong time since I've read these books so I need to re-read them but from what I remember, they were no where near as good as the original BSC books. :/

I think I'm going to read "Everything Changes" pretty soon. I want to read about half the members quitting the club. From what I've heard, they all finally decide they want to have a life outside the BSC and call it quits, which upsets Kristy a lot.
A couple years ago I read the first few pages of this book, but never got around to reading the whole thing. I've gotten quite curious about the FF series, even though I've heard many opinions that the books aren't very good.

I enjoyed reading the Friends Forever, with Claudia vs. Stacey being the only book in the series that I didn't like. But I still like the original series better.

I didn't mind the FF series (except for Everything Changes).
I liked how there weren't the babysitting plots and the intros to the characters and the BSC in general. Although, I think there could have been more variation on the topics.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who liked the FF series. Yes, it was not the original BSC but I tried to get past that and read them like a new series with characters I still love. I really truly hate that the series was so filled with the Stacey/Claudia fight. It was so boring that it was in half of the books. I would have liked to read an Abby book or even Jessi or Mal in this one too since everything wasn't centered on just BSC jobs, I would think it would have been easier to write about them. I was so glad that all the stupid side projects were gone, which always annoyed me. I wish I knew if the authors planned to have more books but just decided to not bother since they didn't have a following b/c it seemed so strange to have the Claudia/Alan book be the last one.

I sometimes feel like the Friends Forever (esp. later ones) were written as Ann already knew the series was going to be canceled. I mean, some references are just so edgy (for the BSC, that is). Ed and Samantha want to move in together- and they're NOT MARRIED! Stacey says that she might have a kid while NOT MARRIED! Jessi says SEXUAL ORIENTATION!!! Mary Anne, Dawn, and Sunny see a guy in a PROM DRESS! Kristy and Abby have BOYS (boys!) in their hotel room and play SWEAR WORD SCRABBLE!!!

They don't have the same mood as the originals, but I enjoyed some of them. I like the one with Kristy's dad, and it was lovely to see Sunny in the 'brook, I wished she'd gotten to meet all the BSC, particularly Abby, since she'd also lost a parent. The endless Stacey vs Claudia ones or the random one where Kristy's debate partner is in Witness Protection...not so much.
