^ Bright, flourescent colors and baggy, it seems. But other than that, they were very vague.

It was "comfortable", whatever that is. I remember Dawn saying a few itmes that she dresses mainly for comfort.

I would have thought that Kristy was the most comfortable one.

I would have thought that Kristy was the most comfortable one. Me, too. I guess they had to qualify "California Casual" with some sort of actual adjective, though.

As for "California casual," I've always found that to be wrongly-named of the Ca. style. I know too many people here who continually strive to keep up with the lastest fashion trends, spending tons of money to do so and making it important to them. Man, I just want to tell them to "relax" when it comes to that.

I always thought it was crazy of Dawn to want to change her look for Lewis. Where's that Dawn who was always harping about being yourself? I'm glad that in the end of that book, Lewis told her that he liked her the way she was before. Thank you, Lewis! Geni

Individualistic Dawn that prides herself on "being yourself" only seems to exist when a boy isn't showing her any interest. Remember Dawn and the Older Boy. Ew, Travis. Creepy.

And what's with her always stalking people? Like in Dawn & Older Boy, Stacey vs. BSC, etc.

^^doesn't she also stalk Cokie or one of the other girls once? Maybe i'm thinking about Stacey Vs the BSC or Claudia and the Middle School Mystery or something.

She stalks Stacey in Stacey Vs. the BSC! Hides behind the jukebox to see what Stacey was up to when she cancelled a sitting job. Don't remember Dawn ever stalking Cokie, though.

I've never read California Diaries, but was Dawn better in that series than the BSC series?

Hm... A bit? I always thought the CD just took the name Dawn and other familiar, Californian names to make it part of the BSC universe, but really, they were totally new characters.
