I just stepped in something brown and sticky that my mom had gotten on our kitchen floor and immediately thought of Claudia and the brown stain on the bedspread. ;D (I also immediately said “this had better be chocolate” ;D) What book was that in, anyway? I know we were just discussing it. Does anyone else think Claudia’s room sounded like a total pigsty? If I were the BSC, I wouldn’t have wanted to meet in there because it was such a mess and so gross.

EWW that bedspread part is just SO WRONG >>
I don't think Claud's room is a pigsty, I think it was just jammed with stuff.
My room has a lot of stuff in it, stuffed animals, books, tons of shoes, lots of little nicknacks, action figures, and it might LOOK all junked up Not to mention all the posters and cutouts decorating the walls and the ceiling.
A nice canopy add on that drapes from the ceiling over the bed does NOT help matters in making it look 'neat' but everything is organized and set up in a way that doesn't make it look crappy, if one just took time to look at things
I only have one room to work with, if i owned a house and all, or an apartment or sommething, I could DO something and make things not be so crammed. I gotta work with what I got, and i think so does Claudia.

I'm pretty sure the chocolate stain thing happened in either "Mary Anne vs. Logan" or "Mary Anne Misses Logan." I also don't think her room was messy as in unsanitary and dirty; I think it was probably just cluttered. I myself don't mind clutter, but I DO mind the other kind of mess.

yeah, i agree with starrynight, Claudia had a cluttered up space in which I bet if she had a home all to herself, it be a pretty artistic room indeed

For some reason whenever I imagine Claudia's room in my head its actually quite small, probably not the kind of size you have 7 girls hanging out in 3 times a week, and it changes all the time. If there's a meeting all her furniture is arranged a particular way, but if she's just sitting in her room by herself I imagine about 2 different arrangements. This is just my strange mind though.

Going back to the beginning of the thread, I think her room is a pigsty. She said as much in Lighthouse Ghost, and Stacey even might have mentioned it once or twice. It's not just cluttered, but there's junk food all over the place--which the girls tend to spill or throw at each other during meetings. And then there's all of Claud's art projects--she said that she's always working on two or three things at once.
I think her room is large, but not huge. She has enough room for the standard bedroom furniture, not to mention easels (which can take a fair amount of space) and other art stuff, and just enough space for the girls to hang around. Going back to Lighthouse Ghost, there was room for an extra bed and a desk.

When I imagine Claudia's room I imagine the layout as being similar to my best friend from elementary school's room. Not sure why - probably because when I was friends with her was the same time that I reached my peak obsession with these books. I never imagined her room as filthy or dirty, but just crammed with art stuff.

I can also picture her room as a pigsty - a cluttered mess and not too clean, either (I'm thinking about the famous "brown stain" ;D)

I picture her room as smallish... not messy, but cluttered... kind of like mine was growing up... books, papers, drawings everywhere... but it wasn't DIRTY.

Since my sister is a lot like Claudia (talented artist, bad at academics) I picture Claud's room to look like my sisters....a disgusting mess! My sis is always saving random things to incorporate into her art, which leads to really super cluttered junk all around the room. She doesn't eat junk food, though, but she eats health food (a la Dawn) and those wrappers all all over the place, so I imagine Claud's ring dings and twinkies and such being scattered all over the room. Even though I imagine her room being dirty, I think it probably wasn't as bad as my sisters. If it was, she probably shoved everything under her bed or in her closet. Oh, yes, one dead on similarity my sis shares with Claud is the way they get dressed...Claud and my sis both frantically throw everything out of the closet on to the floor in trying to find an outfit for the day!
I'm staying at home and have to share a room with my sis and I'm a neat freak like Richard Spier, so you can imagine how these habits drive me crazy!

I can imagine the Kishis being strict about their kids keeping their rooms clean. (Janine's was probably neat as a pin, yet another way Claudia was different from them.) I also imagine Claudia's room as cluttered but not dirty. I think she was careful to keep her junk food stash sealed. For some reason I always imagine her room having yellow walls. I'm not sure why.

My bedrooms are always cluttered but not dirty, so I can picture that pretty well. Now that I have an apartment which I'm not sharing with any roommates, my whole apartment is cluttered but not dirty.

I always base the look of Claud's room, on the cover of #1 or #100. Though...it's kinda confusing. Claudia didn't renovate her room...did she? Because the first one's wall is lavender, while the other one's white... I like the white better, though.

I have it pictured to a T in my head... white closet doors, red bedspread, desk in the corner, tall book shelf... kristy in the directors chair (cause you know she's the real staple in Claud's room ) I picture it so well, sometimes I have to think, whose room is that? Man... I'm so cool.

The Kishis' house, in my head, is a friend's house down the street (when I was growing up) and it's impossible for me to separate Claudia's room from that girl's room (which was usually messy, by the way._)
