I haven't read many of the later BSC books that heavily feature Jeff yet, so I mostly based my claim on the early ones (and the few California Diaries I've read.) Probably a dumb move on my part I've been reading a lot of Abby books lately, and like Anna and Abby's relationship a lot. They're both pretty supportive of each other.

I voted for Janine. I love the way she tries to be there for Claudia, even when Claudia treats her like crap. She just seems sweet and funny and understanding - a perfect big sister!

My vote is for Sam. He's always been one of my favorite characters outside the actual club members, in both the BSC and LS books. (His Valentine presents in LS 15 are so funny!)

I think Sam's one of the only siblings who is entertained by the BSC members. He takes the time to pull pranks on his little sister and her friends, which I think is rather charming for some reason. When he's 17 and the girls are his age I can see them goofing around and being friends.

I always thought that Vanessa was good to her sister, but Mal was a little hard on her.

They all had such lovely siblings.
I really liked Dawn & Jeff's relationship in #5 & #9. To a lesser extent, #15.
Janine always tried hard with Claudia, it seemed. Maybe she was a little impatient, but she seemed like a pretty good sister. Charlie was an excellent sibling. I mean, seriously. He was willing to drive his sister and her friends everywhere.

Toss up between Janine and Charlie. Charlie was so caring and supportive of Kristy and really tried to look after her.
Janine was also supportive of Claudia, although Claudia didn't always see this. She always tried to help her and did a lot for Claud. A couple instances of Janine being just plain lovely and adoreable were when she played Patty-Cake with Lucy on the doorstep and going to help Rosie Wilder with her homework.
I love Janine.

^Can you explain why, please? I think that would be a good addition.

I chose Becca. She always seemed to be a really good sister to Jessi, and I thought it was sweet how close they were. I can imagine them being the kind of siblings who, as adults, consider their sister to be one of their best friends.

^Not necessarily. It was shown in other BSC books as well. Their were moments I can remember that Claudia and Janine had real sisterly moments. An example is European adventure, they argued most of the book but at the end worked it out, and Claudia ran up and gave Janine a hug. Another example is in the "Mystery at Claudia's house" her and Janine were having a talk about boys/boyfriends. I am sure I could think of more as well.

It was a tough choice between Charlie and Janine but I went with Charlie because of how he drives Kristy and her friends around.

Aln1982 dissed the littles by not including Margo, Claire, or Squirt as options. Lol. The Netflix show kind of ruined Charlie, Sam, and Janine for me. I don't think of them the same anymore. Today I pick Becca. She and Jessi felt like friends who liked to hang out.

Agree about the older siblings. Sam seemed too young and Janine seemed too old. They should only have been a year apart and in school together. Maybe they aged Sam down so the Stacey relationship was more palatable.

I voted for Charlie. He’s one of my favourite characters from the BSC. His father leaving would’ve been difficult to accept. I feel for him growing up too fast, losing his childhood to become the paternal figure. He was loyal and there to help his family.
