scout is a chocolate lab.
i can't imagine having breed-inaccurate mind pictures of the dogs myself... maybe it's because i'm a dog person.

Louie got my vote. I cried when he died and that whole book is so sad.

I can't choose. I love em all. I like the whole "praying" thing with Carrot...Louie was so sweet...shannon is adorable... oh and chewy that rambunctious thing!!

^ I had forgotten about Carrot praying. That was really cute. Something about Suzi and Buddy's relationship with Pow is also endearing, even though I am not a dog person at all and can't really understand it. (except I did watch a video of me playing with our dogs when I was 5 and it reminded me of Suzi and Pow - I guess the dislike for them came when I formed te allergies to them)

^ I'm a little bit allergic to cats but it really annoys me as I love them! I like dogs too (don't think I'm allergic to them though).

I just read MA and the Secret in the Attic how the Johannsens tell Carrot to "get out of the kitchen" no matter what room he is in if they want him to go away. MA thought this was funny, too, and I especially laughed at the thought of telling "Carrot" to get out of the "kitchen" ;D He sounded so cute in this book as it also mentioned him saying his prayers.

Carrot always sounded like a fun dog as well. It was a toss up between him and Louie. Louie just got to the sentimental side of me.

^ Even though I'm not a dog fan, I had to admit the praying sounded cute. ;D I also thought that Astrid's puppies sounded adorable in Karen's Two Families. Puppies can be cute to me but then they grow up.... ;D How big of a dog is Carrot? I picture him being quite small.

I voted for Louie, but I think Midgie is a really cute name.

Chewy! I don't like his name that much, but he's a big crazy black Lab, which is exactly what I have at home. So when I think of Chewy I think of my own dog.

I HEART LOUIE! I was sad when they had to put him to sleep. That made me cry.
