he doesn't want logan to baby-sit, and only lets him because he thinks logan is in the bsc to spend more time with MA. he is also a big jerk in Mary Anne to the Rescue.

^ I also get the feeling that he's kind of a jerk or at least really dominant and overbearing to his wife, too, with Logan's statement about his mom never speaking up against his dad (of course, that could just be her too ;D)

^I get that too, aln. It's kind of like a Leave It To Beaver, 50s era mentality.

I'm going to take a moment to note all the dads named John... I always picture Mr. Bruno with a mullet and a beer belly. He sounds kind of like a redneck caricature. Cheers ghostwriters, another stereotype. Didn't read MA to the Rescue thoroughly, but in that book he wants to send Logan to an apparently bootcamp-like boarding school, and in Dawn's Big Date he makes a vaguely snide comment to his wife about her driving in front of Logan's friends and I thought it was kind of unnecessary for them to put that in the book. It reminds me a little of how Mr. Nicholls, the abusive dad in #117, insults his wife in front of Claudia. I voted for Richard. It is really sweet how the relationship between him and Mary Anne works out between MA Saves the Day and Mary Anne's Makeover. BTW it seems that while Dawn's parents (Jack with all the family dates in 77, Sharon with Trip) go out with a lot of people after getting divorced, (if I'm right) we don't know if Richard went out with anyone after MA's mom died? Interesting. Anyway speaking of Dawn's dad, maybe he wasn't the greatest father but I think he was really making an effort by yanking his kids around to Disneyland and the dates. Plus Carol liked him and she seemed pretty awesome. Watson is one of my favorites. He was a great stepdad to Kristy. Also he took the BSC on vacation like four vacations and since they made him those books he seemed fairly well-liked by everyone. Also notice that almost everyone calls him by his first name and not Mr. Brewer. I agree with the other comments about Mr. Kishi Mr. Ramsey seemed pretty cool, I liked him in Jessi's Baby-Sitter and Jessi's Horrible Prank.

John Pike. He seemed like such a caring father, and I bet he'd be a lot of fun too. I used to like Watson, but I got tired of hearing "Watson is a real live millionaire!", "Watson is so nice!", and "Watson paid for everyone to go on vacation!" Now, I think Watson was just a show-off.

How did Alma die again? In childbirth? To be honest, I didn't pay too much attention to minor characters like Alma, Scott Danby, and Nannie.
