I never liked to reread unless it has been a while since the last read since I'll only get as much out of it as I did the last time.

I haven't finished reading the BSC series! I started reading them when they came out in the fifth grade 20 some years ago, and stopped reading them before HS. The only reason I picked them up again was because of moving to Ca. I would read them to escape the stressful lifestyle out there, and also that and my sister told me they had mysteries! (I was in HS when she wrote these). I continued reading them when I moved back to Wa. because our libraries are so awesome, we have almost every last one!! I re- read Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls, only because it had been like 23, years since I had read it. It's still as good as I remembered it! Still as creepy! I am having a blast "catching up" with my old friends. LOL!

Yowza, some of you guys really read the series a lot. I humbly confess to only reading the entire book series once when I was growing up and now when I am much older I am currently going through them slowly (to savour each book muaahaha )

I am on my 2nd reread of the series. I completed my collection finally and read them after that and now that I found the boards I started rereading so that I could have someone to discuss them with!

There are still some books in the series that I haven't read yet. I'm still trying to piece together my collction. I have reread the ones I do have (I probably have around 75% of the books) a million times. If you're not including when I was a kid, I've probably only reread each of them 1-2 times since I started collection again in the last year or so.

^By now, I've probably also read them all "a million of times. "

I've read all the ones that I own countless times, which is quite a large number, but there are a lot of the later books that I don't have and have never read.

I re-read my copy of "Mary Anne Saves The Day!" over 14 times and it still is my favorite, as for my other BSC books, I haven't re-read them much.

I remember going back home while I was in university. My Nana had given away all of my BSC book when I was in Grade 8 or 9 -- I was so mad! -- but I somehow managed to still have a few. At Christmas one year I found "Babysitters' Christmas Chiller" in my bedroom and was reading it, and when my Nana saw me she asked, "Why are you reading that!?"

Was anyone discouraged from rereading them? My mom didn't care that I read them, but we had a small fight every month when I wanted to buy the newest book. In her mind nobody should ever want to read or watch something more than once. ] Oh god thats my mother too! She drives me crazy with that logic and she used to go through my room when i was at school and give away my books.

I haven't read the complete series, originally I stopped collecting at book 88, mystery 26 (for some reason the mysteries came out quicker than the regular books where I lived, so that meant Abby was already part of the BSC in the mysteries though I never read the book where she joined in the regular series!) Of my old collection (with a few gaps) I read through twice, then there was certain books that I reread several times, I think I read Babysitter's on Board about 8 or 9 times I've recently started rereading with the intention of reading all the newer books that I haven't read before as well, unfortunately my old collection was given away years ago so I had to start from scratch again so I've a few gaps.

I'm still catching up! The last book I got as a kid was somewhere around 83 or 84, so I missed almost all the books that came out after that (I did have book #100 though). I've been reading the ones that I know I missed for the first time, and after I've read all of those (I still have a long way to go, as I have a backlog of mysteries to catch up on) I will probably start over with #1.
I do remember that I read #69 several times as a kid, as well as Super Special #7.

Just last night i reread Abby and the notorious neighbour and Kristy in Charge (I always love the subplot in that one) when I have had a bad day I will pick three or four books and just lie in the bath reading them so I have read them all several times over - claudia and the first thanksgiving was one of the first I bought so I read that one probably about 30 times over the years

There are still a couple I haven't read, due to the fact that I can't find them anywhere in print now, but growing up I used to read them all in order, and then when I got to whatever was my last book at the time, just start re-reading them again. I can't even begin to imagine how much of my life has been devoted to reading these books.
My most read are definitely Dawn and the Big Sleepover and Stacey and the Mystery at the Mall, because they were my first two books and I have a soft spot for them. I also tend to read Baby-Sitters on Board whenever I'm going through Disney World withdrawal, haha.
