One idea came from someone's recent comment about Tuck Everlasting and being stuck in middle school, as was the case of the BSC. Well what if somehow, one of the characters were to realize they were either STILL in the 8th grade or had done some project already...one of the charges had gone through something...some impetus for the light bulb going off over their head and their stopping to wonder if they truly were repeating time.
My second idea was if one of "us" BSC fans ended up in Stoneybrook right before something that we read about in the books was to happen or even while a "mystery" was going on. I know this is sort of confusing--to me too--so an example...an easy one Stacey and the Missing Ring. S is all set for her job at the Gardella's..we have tried to tell her what will happen but of course she and the others deem us crazy. Stacey is still angry at her own mother for refusing to buy her a diamond ring and really isn't even hearing us. We simply suggest that if she (Stacey) wants to save both herself and the BSC a whole lot of trouble and anxiety to keep a close eye on Bird to make sure he doesn't hide Mrs. Gardella's ring under the tv room rug or to look there before she goes home.
In a non mystery, perhaps "we" try and advise the crew in Island Adventure to bring along some sort of communication devise and/or at least pack more provisions for their supposed one day trip. I could see Claudia, thinking she'd not only shut us up about our notions of their being standred without enough food and water, happily gather up more junk food to bring with. Of course, they neglect to bring any sort of walkie talkie/phone. The "adventure" plays out either as we read it or some other way..but when all is said and done the BSc has "proof" that somehow "we" were telling the truth.
Perhaps "we" would (if we knew when we were going to Stoneybrook that is) would have brought the relevant BSC book with us...and lol maybe when we got their sort of like the movie Pleasantville started out before it went color and got weird, IMO, the ending would be blank, as if the girls had asecond chance to alter it.
Does this make any sense? Crazy?
I had BSC more on the brain last night after making up that title list.
