I just noticed that in Stacey's Emergency Stacey says she's never had a stuffed pig (soft toy pig for those of you non-Americans who might think of Chinese banquets) before, but way back in #51 Stacey's Ex-Best Friend she hides her stuffed pig collection from Laine. Fail. Did the ghostwriters just have a note saying, "Stacey -- > stuffed pig"? Or are stuffed pigs another recurring Ann thing?

I know Porky Pig is Stacey's favorite cartoon character, and I think she is supposed to collect pigs in general.

There was a plot line in the regular series about skyler being afraid of cats. Then in LS the Korman family got a kitten.

^ Perhaps Skyler got over her fear of cats.

Didn't the Korman's also get a dog? I just checked one of my extra favorite LS books that I will reread tonight, Karen's Gift. The Korman's have a beagle named Maggie. I will check if they also had a cat. I know that is the book where the Hsus had an aging golden retriever named Duke yet in Karen's Newspaper, they had a new puppy named Ghost. I think the ghost-writers forgot their pets and maybe needed Jessi's pet sitting help or a Mancusi- type detailed list to remind them.

Lots of pet inconsistencies then! She probably did get over that fear.

Karen's kitten, which is LS 30 I believe. I read it a while ago and remembered it when I was at a thrift store.

^Thank you I'll have to reread for the kitten's birth announcements, so cute. ETA: I reread this last night. Bob, the tiger cat goes to the Kormans. I don't think Bill or Skylar are directly in it though Bill was probably with the other kids when Karen had her free kitten stand. On Page 52, Melody tells us that until it passed away the year before her family did have a cat. On page 81 Mrs. Dawes tells Karen Nancy never had a pet before. Poor Percy the dog mentioned in Karen's Spy Mystery. I am not sure where this LS book fits in BSC wise, I still need to and will try to do that but maybe Skylar's fear of tats had not been invented yet and since Spy Mystery was a much later book and Percy a one time mention, he probably had not been thought of either.

Maybe this one is just placed inconsistently. Like it should have been later in the series.

In Karen's Mystery, David Michael refers to Watson as "Daddy".

That's a really good point, Nostalgiachick, I think you are right on Wenonah, I didn't remember that specifically but it does sounds familiar and very sweet. I am so happy David Michael and his siblings, Elizabeth, too and Watson and vice versa. I did read "Karen's Little Sister" yesterday so maybe I will read again Karen's Mystery," I love love, David Michael's Christmas Tree for Emily, Jr.

It makes some sense that DM would, and of course Watson *is* Emily's daddy, but the older Thomases never call Watson "Dad".

In Dawn and Whitney, Friends Forever, Dawn says that she only knows one Alana, who is in her class and that they're not friends but in California Girls, Dawn had a surfer friend called Alana.

Which is funny because that's a pretty uncommon name. I've never run into it in real life.
