I'm not sure if this is bad editing or an inconsistency, but in Karen's Magician David Michael called Shannon a girl in one paragraph and a boy in the next. Poor Shannon.

So I'm (finally) updating my BSC blog again and I'm doing my snark for Mary Anne and Camp BSC. So far, I've counted 3 inconsistencies in one book:
1. Mary Anne's dad is going on a business trip to Cincinnati and then it says he's going to Cleveland. 2. In a BSC notebook entry, the handwriting looks like a mix between Mary Anne and Jessi's. But it's Kristy narrating the entry! 3. When the kids demand ghost stories at the cookout, Mary Anne says she tells one about a ghost cat and mentions something like that happened to Dawn once. It's MALLORY and the Ghost Cat!
Did Nola Thacker even pay attention when writing this?

Sorry for the double post but I remembered one I haven't seen yet.
In I think Mallory's Christmas Wish, I believe the situation is Jessi calls Stoneybrook Manor to find out about the holiday boutique they're doing. Then the book says Claudia hung up the phone. Did she take it out of Jessi's hand?

Haha, Claudia in the early books totally would hang up someone else's call. I wonder how many of these are simple find and replace errors. They could change something innocuous and not realize it messed up something bigger?

I'm not sure if this counts as an inconsistency, but in chapter 12 of Logan Bruno,Boy Baby-sitter, Mary Anne is so excited about the Nicky Cash concert that she double books Jessi. The text says afterwards: "Fortunately Jessi realized it immediately and they were able to change things around." I'm not sure if that means she was able to fix it before she confirmed the job with the client, or if they had to call the client back to rearrange a sitter. Either way, Mary Anne definitely made a scheduling mistake, and in the books I've read after it, I've noticed she's still described as never having made a mistake.
We're all human, so I'm not getting at her for making a mistake, but it's still something that stood out to me and I'm surprised it isn't brought up more often. Does she make any other mistakes in the series?
Also, in Mary Anne and Miss Priss, it states that Nicky Pike is 9. I'm noticing a lot of inconsistencies regarding ages in the 70s for some reason (I think in Stacey and the Cheerleaders Tiffany is supposed to be 10).

I commented this in the Karen's Magician thread. Poor Shannon. Her owner doesn't even know what sex she is! And just read Karen's Big Job and once again Shannon is referred to as a he and this is starting to annoy me.

Jessi's mum was in advertising. I'm not sure if it ever mentioned what her dad did, just that he worked in Stamford. Elizabeth Brewer is also in advertising as I've just read Karen's Big Job and John Ramsay was a broker or works for a big investment firm in Stamford.

FINALLY updating my blog again and came across yet another inconsistency in Mary Anne and Camp BSC. The kids at their camp go to Stoneybrook Elementary School and Stoneybrook Academy. So they should be abbreviated as SES and SA. But in her notebook entry, Kristy refers to the Stoneybrook Academy kids as the SMS kids. So Karen goes to school with Kristy now?

A somewhat minor one: In Abby in Wonderland, Abby insists that she doesn't burn when her Gram is trying to get her to put sunscreen on. Yes, you do Abby. Remember Hawaii?

In one book (sadly I can't remember which one) Mallory is telling Adam to set the table. She says something along the lines of "you can put silverware on the table, Jordan can get the plates, ADAM can do blah blah blah" even though she's talking to Adam. Idk if that's a mistake or not but I found it funny.
