I know that this was a topic on the other forums, but what books in the BSC series (including mysteries) are the worst written?
Mine are:
Jessi's Horrible Prank - pointless waste of time
Jessi and the Jewel Thieves - worst plot ever, such a piece of crap
Mallory Pike, # 1 Fan - omg, mal was such an annoying brat in this one. so what if an author used fiction when the write a book, thats what most of them do for heavens sake.
Stacey and the Mystery House or whatever its called. i only read it for the first time recently and its such bull. another dumb plot.

I didn't really like Claudia and First Thanksgiving. It was her book and Abby basically steals the main plot and Kristy steals the subplot.
I didn't really like Abby's Unvalentine. It was sort of boring, and Abby bugged me in that book.

Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout. The thread I started on it explains why. I didn't like Claudia's attitude about school. Actually, most of the books about Claudia are my least favorites. I didn't like the First Thanksgiving one either. I guess I didn't appreciate the whole issue Claudia was having with the play being based on incorrect facts (even though right now I can't remember exactly what bugged me)

Most of the Jessi ones are incredibly boring - Jessi's Secret Language, Jessi Ramsey Pet Sitter, Jessi and the Superbrat, Jessi's Gold Medal... ugh, so pointless.
Maid Mary Anne was pretty "meh" as well. Jessi and the Awful Secret almost trivialized a much too serious subject. Dawn and the Older Boy was enjoyable, but weird and unrealistic. And Claudia's Freind Friend had the world's most annoying title (and a pretty typical Claudia plot).

"Mallory Pike, #1 Fan", which should have been called "Mallory and the Worst Plot Ever"...

I'd like to add Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger. Mary Anne was irresponsible, Logan was a b*tch, Kerry was annoying, and it had not one but two plots where the kids didn't talk to their parents about their problems. When they were pooling their money for the reward nobody had more than a few bucks. They should stop referring to their club as "more of a business than a club" since they never made anything more than spare change.
Also Jessi's Wish. It was like a really boring After School Special. We had Jessi and the half dead girl (Sorry. Cancer does suck. Don't want to offend anyone.) plus everyone else had their very special projects going on. I felt like I was supposed to learn something from this but didn't. And why the hell was Jessi an acceptable replacement for a teacher that left town?

Really? Sorry. I thought this one was universally hated, kind of like Jessi and the Jewel Thieves! Each to their own Also, sparklymouse, word on Jessi's Wish. I know it was supposed to be a touching plot but it just fell flat. I don't know so much about the BSC not being more than a business and a lucrative one at that ;D - after all, Claudia made enough to buy so many clothes that a few of the girls claim they haven't seen her in the same outfit twice, in addition to providing snacks for seven girls three times a week AND purchasing art supplies.

Yeah, maybe it's money management that they need to worry about. Or maybe it's just her. Claudia and the Five Finger Discount.

Basically, my least favorites are any about Mary Anne/Logan as a couple or any of the "relationships" between the girls and any of their boyfriends. Maybe I am strange, but the relationships seem a little unrealistic for 13 and 11 year olds - almost like something from a romance novel at times.

^ the Jessi/Quint relationship was the most irritating, unrealistic one.

Yeah, maybe it's money management that they need to worry about. Or maybe it's just her. Claudia and the Five Finger Discount. Well in MA Saves the Day, Claudia is blamed for taking alot of jobs without offering it to other members. I guess she essentially hogs the jobs where clients don't call in during "business hours." Thus she could have gotten a lot more jobs than other members and a lot more money. As for the 5-finger discount, that's not a bad theory. In Stacey and Mall Mystery, the art supply store did mention that their prices would be a lot cheaper if people didn't keep shop-lifting from them.
