^Me too. Definitely sounds accurate for cafeteria food(or at least the ones I was ever in).

I wouldn't know; I almost never bought lunch at school.

I usually just bought breadsticks or cookies. Sometimes a salad. I HATE gross out humor. I thinks it's tacky and immature and crude and I totally would not be sitting at a table with Kristy. I just don't think I could handle it. I would be so disgusted I wouldn't even be able to sip my soda.

^ I don't like it when I'm eating, either, but it was accurate for our lunches. I never bought them, though - ever. I went hungry one time because something happened to my lunch and refused to buy a hot lunch. ;D (I don't think I had money with me anyway. I was in elementary school and never carried money to school.) We had a kid who used to tell us the most disgusting stuff about the school lunches (I still shudder when I see pizza that looked like the stuff we had because he said that it had worms in it....) This is what Kristy makes me think of every time. ;D

I think Kristy grossing out the others is kinda funny, but IRL I wouldn't like it. I would probably turn green like Mary Anne.

we didn't have a lot of options in ms/hs--just the hot lunch, a vegan option, salad, pb&j, and rice krispies/bran flakes. i had cereal for the majority of my lunches.

Mightn't the vegan have been okay? I'm just guessing because at college it was generally okay, if not very interesting. I'm neither vegetarian, vegan, kosher, nor any other dietary restrictions, but I did try some of those specialized offerings there!

I wouldn't know; I almost never bought lunch at school. I didn't either. I either brought my lunch(GASP!)or I bought something from the snack shack. Some of my friends did buy the hot lunch. GAG!

At my high school, we had lunch (well I did) at about 10:15 in the morning. They sold bagels and cream cheese and sometimes hot chocolate (when it was cold, which in Florida is...not often) so that is what I typically got when they had hot chocolate, and when they didn't I would get water. It was a good breakfast. I could eat my lunch when I got home at 2:30 or so.

I love vegetables. I don't know what i would eat if I didn't like them.
Our university cafeteria was horrible! Everything was fried, covered in butter, or made up of animal products. I was so upset that they made us pay for a meal plan but I couldn't eat a thing besides the salad that looked like it had been sitting out for days, or the make your own pasta bar (which gets old). Finally we convinced them to give us some vegetarian food, but it was pretty limited.

They made us pay for one, and we had to use the one that forced you to eat at the cafeteria for the first year. It sucked. The other option was a deductible balance spending one, and they take out like 12% as a "fee". So then I could eat at a whole bunch of crappy places that serve deep fried crap in bags with names of chains on them. Yay. But at least some of those places had a few more options. Like yogurt and veggie wraps.
