Oh thank god there's a board about this on here I'm new by the way ^^ And yes, the BSC totally stole my name My name is Mallory, shocker yes? Or maybe not lol To just say this, I am NOTHING like the Mallory in the books The only thing we have in common is that we both wear glasses and enjoy reading (but not horse books lol!) Basically on every little BSC board/fourms I have read I have always seen at least 10 people stating that they hate the Mallory character and it breaks my heart that a stupid fictional character shares the same name as me :/ Thankfully now I can state my disgust over this character Anyways I remember how "cool" I thought it was that a fictional book character had the same name as me (I used to be the only Mallory in my school until the 7th grade so generally I felt left out that my name wasn't a common name...I have only seen at least 4 fictional characters with the name Mallory in my whole life-and the correct spelling at that!) I used to own a couple of Mallory books but got rid of a few (like "Mallory Hates Boys and Gym", etc.) but now I am collecting all the Mallory books ^^ And oh, to get this off my chest, "Mallory On Strike" "encouraged" me to get my ears pierced (I was like 9 or 10 maybe?) because "I want to be just like fictional Mallory!" Needless to say, my ears are not pierced anymore (allergic reaction) Wow, this felt really good to get off my chest!

Wasn't there also a Heather in the bad girl clique for whom Stacey briefly dropped the BSC?
ETA: Heather Epstein! She "has short, spiky brown hair and loves the grunge look".

None of the babysitters had my name. I don't think, any of the clients or baby sitters parents & siblings has my name. (Like my first name.) The Author has my middle name Ann.

The BSC didn't steal my name, because I don't own it. There are plenty of people with my first name (Emily) out there!

The characters that share my first name were already mentioned earlier in the thread ;-) Also, Mary Anne and I share the same middle and last names (mine is spelled differently though).
ETA: To the person who posted earlier named Marjorie...I still own my French copy of "Mallory and the Mystery Diary", and in it, Mallory's name was changed to Marjorie!

What was Mary Anne's middle name? I thought it was decided that Mary Anne was her full first name.

^ I don't think Mary Anne has a middle name.

I think peppermintraymaker meant "Anne" was her middle name. You kind of don't need a middle name when you have a double name
