I agree that Stacey's books and also Mary Anne's books tend to be the most realistic.

I think Kristy's Great Idea and some of the earler books including Logan Likes Mary Anne. Also alot of books about Stacey and Maryanne are realistic.I also think Babysitters Summer Vacation,Kristy's Worst Idea and Snowbound are realistic.

Mary Anne's Makeover because of the clique behavior by the other girls. Claudia vs. Stacey is realistic in that people break off their friendship over a person that they both like.

Total agreement on the fact that they actually act 13 in the earlier books. As for most realistic, I think Claudia and the Sad Goodbye is very realistic. Claudia's grief is very realistic and she hits all the different stages - denial, anger, sadness, acceptance... Agreed. I also agree about the fact that the BSC seemed more like tweens in the earlier books. In the later books, they seemed very very adult-like. I just ignore the fact that they're thirteen-year olds.
