^ I would guess that Maureen didn't know about Wes. I certainly wouldn't have told my mom if it were me! I know Maureen and Stacey were close, but I still think that Stacey would have kept this one to herself. Well, to herself and the BSC.

Hee. I loved that song and knew all the lyrics. Which wasn't hard because it sounded like a 13 year old girl could have written it.

Weird. I thought universities had to have grad programs. Generally, a community or junior college only has 2-year degrees, a College has 4 year degrees but no grad school, and a University has graduate programs. Usually when a school switches from one type to another, they change their name.

Rereading this one, and just noticed this for the first time:
The Lerangis men sure left their mark on the BSC franchise.

^Ha! I think Peter has a few sons. I wonder how their dad writing girly books went over with them.

^It's probably something they keep under wraps. If I were a boy, and my dad was wrote the Baby-Sitters Club, I don't know that I'd want my buddies finding out about it. If I were a boy trying to impress a girl, on the other hand....

^ Haha! Soo true. I've only read this once, last year sometime, but yeah, totally cringe worthy. I never had a crush on a teacher (which seems to be the exception?) maybe ya'll had hotter teachers than me. But I've only ever been interested in guys my exact age anyway I do give Stacey credit for having the guts to do something, although it was a crazy thing to do. But once more we see Stacey convinve herself that the guy is in love with her, also. How many times does this happen?!

I think I'm going to cry, I was working on a pretty long post and with an accidental knock of one key the whole thing was lost. *sigh*
Stacey is down right delusional in this book, I thought she was bad with Scott but this goes off into another dimension from that again! Agree with others some parts were downright cringe-worthy. My head was screaming "For the love of god Stacey, DON'T DO IT!!!!!" When she gave him the poem and when she told him she was in love with him.
I think Wes gave Stacey somewhat of the wrong idea though completely unintentionally. He struck me as a bit naive and young and nervous in his surrounding and maybe felt a bit more at ease being more himself around Stacey.
Although, asking her to stay back and driving her to Claud's can easily be taken the wrong way by a 13 yr old with a crush. I think the way he let her down gently and set her strait was really good though, he handled it perfectly.
The 7 year old car being held together with rope got to me too. FFS my car is 19 and it isn't as bad as the condition of the car described.
I felt really sad that Stacey turned Sam down for the dance, for some reason I've always been a fan of them two getting together.
Stacey being confused about the Elvira thing actually had me laughing out loud, hilarious! It annoyed me that Dawn & Mary Anne kept taking her on sitting jobs though.
Mrs Stone didn't say not to take her out and about so to speak & did leave a leash but I wouldn't have thought she meant they could go and do what they had chosen to either. And to not learn your lesson after she did get loose and go missing once? Very stupid IMO.
- One more thing I'd forgot to add, the girls carrying on about how OLD Wes was. I'm 21 and felt a little sad at those comments, lol! Compared to 13, yes 22 is a lot of a gap but my gosh, in America he's only been a legal adult for a year! It's hardly ancient!!!

I never had a crush on any of my teachers, either. That was one more reason I never liked this book - I couldn't relate to it at all.

I just reread this book again, and boy, stacey is very brave. If I were to have a teacher I liked I would Never, tell him. Wes Is So ignorant about Stacey's Crush! For pete's Sake! And the way he drove her to Claud's House. If that would have happend in real life Wes Might have gone to Jail.
