Logan is so oblivious... zoar, you can fix your quotes by doing (w/o the spaces): [ quote ] text [ /quote ]

Ann talked to Glamour and this part made me think of this book... Haha, were Ann and her friends fantasizing about their crushes wearing tuxes and cooking dinners for them?

I was thinking about the candlelight dinner scene in this book. I agree with a lot of others who think it's creepy. And you could practically feel Mary Anne's discomfort coming out of the pages.
I always pictured the rest of the Bruno family huddled silently in the rec room, trying to eavesdrop on Mary Anne and Logan. I would have felt strange and uncomfortable knowing that the rest of the family was in the house, probably listening to everything.
Did Logan say he cooked the dinner himself? I don't remember. Or did he have his mom do most of the prep before he shoved everyone into the rec room for the evening?

I'm in a relationship right now and this guy, though he's very sweet and giving, reminds me so much of logan and I feel like mary anne a lot, like he's taking over me and thinks we don't have enough time together when we do. Not knowing how to give space, I am much older than mary anne in this book but feel just like her
I would have taken the chocolates and ran, love chocolate candy lol

That is a very creepy thought, Candykane. :/ I never wondered about that. The Bruno family probably was holed up in the rec room. In most houses in Stoneybrook, except of course, Watson's mansion, homes are 3 stories. The first is either a finished or unfinished basement in which is the "rec room." The kitchen/main living room area is on the second floor. If that was the case at the Brunos', in a way it was "better" because the family had more space than just one small room but so trusting of Logan and MA since they (adults) were farther away. For some reason I got the impression everyone was maybe a room a way instead of a floor. Weird. As for the food, Logan probably had it catered from the Rosebud or some Italian place downtown, seeing as he rents carriages and all.
Hug, Supprazz, I hope things get better and/or you move on.

Haha, zoar you make me laugh. I have to admit I was always a fan of the two of them when I was younger (the idea of carriages and candlelit dinners was just oh so romantic!) so I was rooting for Logan the whole time, but the catering comment made me giggle. I do not understand where these kids got so much money. The whole idea of eavesdropping is creepy--poor Mary Anne would feel like she was letting his family down just as much as him!

Sarish. in a way it is still romantic. I think it's little gestures that count but should the man I love (once he shows up--I haven't found him yet :/) have a grander romantic streak (at times) than that'd be great and appreciative. As a preteen, heck yeah, I'd have swooned over the idea of Logan going to that much trouble for Mary Anne. Maybe that's partly why even as an adult, I was (still am) disappointed that they broke up. I wanted them to last, too.

Oh well when I got older I was totally against them! I was actually a fan of Mary Anne and Cary Retlin upon reading the books as adults. Lol
Definitely am a hopeless romantic right now though - probably because of these books.

Just do it, supprazz. There's no point in staying a relationship a second longer if you don't want to be with the guy. It's not fair to him OR you.
