That's awesome that you had a Mickey camera, Greer.
I was thinking if Alan were truly sneaky (and very quick) he could have taken the notebook to the school office and made a copy of whatever page. I have often wondered how the BSC girls remembered all their appointments and unless they carried with them some type of mini calendar or planner, copying the book might be helpful to them, too.

^They could wrote it on sticky note. That Mary Anne has to baby-sit Jenny P. On Tuesday from 4-9 pm. Put it in her school notebook. Anytime, I read the book, about them mentioning about the notebook. I'm thinking of regular size notebook. Has neatly handwriting from Mary Anne. Like all the clients names, addresses, phone numbers and etc... On the other side. Which Baby-Sitters has days off and who is busy that day. I'm sure Mary Anne, writes down which sitters baby-sits which clients.
For example.
Client: Jamie and Lucy Newton. Sitter- Claudia Kishi 2-4 pm on Wednesday. Be their before 2:00 p.m.
Client: Pike Family Sitters- Mallory and Jessi. 1-5 pm on Thursday. Be their before 1 pm.
Client: Karen and Andrew Brewer Sitter- Kristy. 12 pm -5 pm. On Friday. Be their before 12 pm. (At Karen's small house.)

^That sounds like a good plan, Buttercup. Post it notes can be so handy. I remember we had a discussion on the various BSC notebooks. I remember in one mystery Mal is anxious to be reunited with the BSC mystery notebook and asks one of the sitters to have one of the teacher chaperones who will be coming up to wherever they are (I want to say it was a teacher's husband who was joining her either in PA or MA) bring it with them. Mal tells us (or maybe this was when she first bought, I don't remember but it was black. I believe the BSC record book is a binder with loose leaf paper but the (regular) notebook is a spiral. I know in at least one book MA points out that the BSC needs a new one, possibly of both. Anyone remember what books these are from? I need to get back to BSC reading. I've been so enjoying the LS books.

^The one where Mal gets a teacher to bring the mystery notebook to her is SM#3 Baby-sitters' Fright Night.

Strange that the infamous regular notebook is a spiral. If it were a loose-leaf binder then it would be quite easy for each sitter to add her entry after each job.

^I agree, Greer. Depending on when the sitting job was (and how memorable), it would be easy to forget details, unless really different or important. I think Wenonah, you are so right that it would make so much more sense if each girl just wrote her "entry" either on loose leaf paper or typed it up (punched holes or paper protector) to slip into the binder. I also never got why Kristy would allow so much time at each meeting to be taken up with writing in the notebook. Potentially a few members every meeting might need to add something and if so, it'd be harder to pay attention to the actual meeting on-goings.

You know, it's kind of funny you mention the notebook being a spiral, I could swear in either the movie or one of the tv show episodes the notebook was shown as being a binder with loose leaf paper. Maybe I am getting it mixed up with something else.

^Yeah, in the TV episode Jessi and the Mystery of the Stolen Secrets, the club notebook is a binder.

I swear that one of the girls mentioned needing more looseleaf paper for the club notebook in one of the books...maybe I'm wrong?
