^ the majority of the books are "formula written" so there is usually no chapter 16.
Chapter 14 is usually the "climax" chapter. Things wind down again and come to an end in chapter 15.

^ Thanks. Never noticed anything other than page length but I do notice that some of the mysteries seem to wrap up quickly like they've ran out of room.

Didn't Stacey have a hamburger since she couldn't have the processed cheese in the pizza? Not only an inconsistency with the rest of the series, but I somehow remember something like, "everybody rasied a slice of pizza, except Stacey, who raised her hamburger."

^ That's a really weird inconsistancy... also maybe it just depends on how diabetic people are, but I've known several diabetic people and they can all eat pizza...

^ I remember when she couldn't eat the cheese danish that Mr. Pike was cooking in Sea City because of the processed cheese....maybe it depends on what kind of cheese is on the pizza?

Yup, Stacey had a hamburger in this book instead of pizza.

Stacey's food needs seem kind of inconsistent but I think things can change with what a diabetic can tolerate at different times. I know sometimes my aunt has to be on stricter diets than others. Stacey's different, needs, though are probably inconsistencies. ;D Toasting with the hamburger is kind of a funny image. ;D I guess a pizza toast can be done with anything. ;D

Maybe initially she was told by some doctor that she couldn't eat pizza, then later another told her that she could... this would tie into the storyline of The Truth About Stacey as all the different doctors confuse her.

You know I thought the fight in this book, was ridiculous but I thought the one between Claud and Mary Ann was dumb. Mimi called Mary Ann, My Mary Anne and Claudia flipped out about it. I had petty arguments when I was thirteen but nothing like that and Claudia always think she is a lot more mature then Mary Anne. Maybe it was just the stress of the fight, but I thought she overreacted. I am re-reading all the ebooks now and this is the one I am on.

Everyone was so frickin immature with how they handled the fight, especially Claudia and Kristy. Claudia blasting her music to drown out Mary Anne, and basically giving her the b*tch treatment even though she really did nothing. And Kristy with her "Baby baby baby baby!" taunt at Mary Anne...that's your best friend, and now that she finally stood up to you for once, you're going to turn around and call her out on something you always tolerated from her? Good lord.

This fight kind of reminds me of fights I had with roommates in college. (Well, the music, the ignoring, and the over all bitchy attitude and passive aggressiveness.) I think it's pretty well done, especially since they are 13.

Strangely I never had loud or drawn-out fights with friends, even at this age. What I've had are lengthy gaps in friendships, where I've removed myself from someone's life or vice versa for a while, for varying reasons. For those of you who had fights like this, were they resolved to the points that your friendships picked back up?
