From my avatar image, it looks like Logan is wearing a green, fleece pullover (similar to one that I have). I looked at this cover today and realized that he's actually wearing a green parka jacket. I want it, I really like it! I love green.

Funny you say that cause though I don't know what you look like, I associate it with someone wearing green in your avatar as I do with most posters here based on their avatar/character LOL

Really, I can't see Logan as he was in this book. He felt too different to how he's been earlier on in the series. If he was like this, Mary Anne wouldn't have dated him at all. The writers just decided to have them break up and get back together in Mary Anne's next book. Although I found this interesting mainly because the second BSC book I ever read was the follow-up, "Mary Anne Misses Logan". Oh, and Mary Anne, I missed my first boyfriend after we broke up. I still miss him. But sadly, we are never ever ever ever getting back together. Sorry about the Taylor Swift reference, could resist.

Yeah, he always felt so out of character in this one. Compare him to the more understanding Logan from the first few books, and he's totally different. People (real and fake) change, I guess.

I generally like the relationship but also liked this break-up. Logan was pretty jerky, definitely egotistical (but that was already established in book 25) and even manipulative but not too terrible or likely to become an abuser. Some or a lot of his behavior early on comes from thinking MA liked him to be (and him liking to be) bold, take-charge, definitely not shy. The book did very well in showing that MA liked aspects of him but having her and the reader realize that he wasn't being understanding or respectful enough.

Wow, a thread with only 3 pages? How can it be? I like this one. I was proud of MA for standing up for herself and for recognizing Logan's behaviour for what it was. For example, she didn't think the valentines dinner was romantic, but recognized Logan still had not really heard her. I am sure better women have fallen for tricks like that! I myself am a sucker for the grand romantic gesture, probably because my fiance doesn't care for them. So I thought it was really good of her to pick up on harmful patterns in their relationship. Only I felt, at the end, Logan still didn't understand. I liked the subplot too. I am not rereading in order, was it ever mentioned why MA and Dawn were the only ones to know mrs P was having a girl?

^ They were the only ones who wanted to know. The others wanted to be surprised.

I don't think Logan was completely in the wrong in the movie conflict, rather he and Mary Anne were both somewhat wrong. There was a pretty big lack of communication and understanding from both for him to think she would want to watch a slasher film (although she had had an interest in horror films, specifically the Halloween films, in the past) and her to think he would want to watch a musical he considered babyish (though he presumably didn't dislike musicals in general). And rather than as I think they should have considered and agreed to watch another choice (I don't think those were the only two options) they were both stubborn, Mary Anne IIRC also thinking since we can't agree then we might as well just not go.
